Accelerated Professional Pilot Program

I've heard this company is kind of shady. I knew a guy who was going to be an instructor there, but they wanted him to backseat and log dual given as well as PIC with two other pilots in the front seats. These two pilots were also logging PIC.

I dont know about you but thats quite a grey area...

It's 100 hours for 18K, not 8K.

I'm not much impressed by looking at their website. The two week limit to finishing your flying or you forfit unused funds is kinda weird.

I could do better, but I see doing 100 hours of timebuilding as padding your logbook with useless time. 50 is about the max I'd agree to do, and that might even be a stretch.

"but they wanted him to backseat and log dual given"

I'd have sworn up and down that's illegal until Midlife spoke to the issue. I still think it's an unethical way to log PIC time as a CFI. But I do believe it's legal.

Damn! I swear Midlife is always right on those things. :)

Too grey for me though!

I have found something out

there is no shortcut to airlines unless you are willing to spend 100,000 and fly for a crappy airline for a few years lol

Offt...I wouldnt say everyone spends 100k!

well you can always do ATP's 55,000 program that is 90 days. but will you have the min required hours of 400/50ish to get anywhre? you might have mre like 210/150 lol

I'm also curious if an airline will hire you if you were just a joe schmoe 90 days ago as well?

Its more like 220/130 if you begin with the bare minimum allowed, and yes, I have seen a few of my friends get hired straight out of ATP. Although hired and actually working for them are 2 different things.

I think they are simply wrong with how they come up with the numbers at their site. Half of 18K is 9K. Not 8K or 8.3K.

They say they have a fleet of Apaches but they don't have a pic of one on their "the fleet" page. They say they have locations all over the place. I wonder if they are running around the country getting small schools that have an Apache to somehow agree to work with them. I don't know. They haven't called me yet....

The place looks like your typical south Florida scam operation to me. Right there with Gulfstream Academy, TAB express, and ATA.

Well you would need gas in order to fly the thing right? :laff:

Yes, but I dont think it will cost 10K

I contacted them and acquired about their locations. Turns out they only operated out of Ft. Lauderdale. Go figure.

"I think this is the same place that used to post multi time building on ebay"

Hey, now there's an idea....

we were talking about this in my commercial class... I have nothing to reference off of though. I was told when CFI does this from the back seat, he can't log it as PIC.

i believe its the same thing if he is lets say doing commercial training. he can log the dual, but he can't log PIC

man, I just looked at their prices...

you can get 100 hours for like 10 grand (wet) at ari ben. It is a ###### ass place, but hey.... they got the plane, and the fuel lol

They don't have instructors. It is not a training school-they just help building hours.
