Flight Case Recommendation

The Office Depot case is a POS. Bill got one when he was an Eagle new-hire in 1995, and by the time he was doing international with TWA in the fall of 1999 it was held together with a luggage strap and black electrical tape.

Just get a Scott.

I am thinking in terms of buying something that will hold me over for a few months until I can afford a $200 flight case like the Scott cases at StopOver.com ...if it lasted him for 4 years, I think $35 is well worth it! :D

Scott!

I had the Office Depot case. Sucked sucked sucked.

B-b-b-b-b-but I only have $400 in my bank account! hehe

Mine lasted about six months, but then I was hauling it thru the midwest through all sorts of muck on the ramp!

I think it really depends on luck with the Office Depot case. I bought mine in March of 2006, and it's still going strong. Some of the other people in my class bought them same day, same location, and the handle snapped within two months. Maybe I just take better care of my stuff.

I am planning on getting the LW case when I upgrade, though. I need more room and a place to put my cool sunglasses.

I second the Coyote Works bag. The metal on the bottom does not wear out from being dragged on the floor and escalators and elevators and jetways and stairways and curbs etc.

I just got the taller LW bag. No dragging of the flight case anymore.

I have this one. There is Soooooooooo much room! I can fit three 2" Jepp binders, POH, GOM, contract, novel, MP3 player, a couple of muffins (or yogurt or bagels) from the hotel, a bottle or two of water, my camera, and apple, some revisions, my headset and a notepad in there (I'm not kidding).

Then, there's the little side pocket, with room for my mp3 player, passport, more notepads, flashlight, lotion . . . probably some other stuff, too!:D

Lotion!? Lloyd, you're losing points here.

That and the fact he called a "book" a "novel." :panic::D

I highly recommend the Scott Leather bag. I am very, very happy with mine. I just wish I could get some of the "sticker gunk" off one part of it. The Office Depot bag was never good at keeping all my pieces of flair attached. The Scott bag keeps them adhering nicely.

I have seen his bag. There is a lot of sheite in that bag.

He's not losing any points. A brotha has to moisturize!!! :D

You guys kill me :). He's got $400 in his bank account and you are pointing him in the direction of buying a $300+ flight case, wiping out 75% of his net worth.

Priorities people :D.
