SATS Air Hiring

I got a canned email form Dustin Bragg today, thanking me for my resume, and asking me to update if my circumstances change. I guess they won't be calling me any time soon!

Try updating within a few days. Also the thanks, and still very interested in the position doesnt hurt either!

I would stay away. I'm leaving in jan. or feb. for a new position. They are reorganizing all depts and I think the "fat lady" is warming up in the background (before they shut the doors). I have been through this in the past and all the ducks are lining up . The passengers I fly are aware of this also and are getting nervous about "re-upping" after they have flown out their purchased time.

Why wait till Jan? Don't let the door hit ya.

You have eight posts on this board and every one of them is bashing the company you work for. What is your motivation for coming on here and trying to make your "predictions" come true by trying to steer everyone away and spreading crap about the company. Don't tell me you have some noble aim: "I just want to help people not get into something bad." I think any reasonable person reading all this you have written will see right through that.

I've NEVER heard a customer say anything even close to what you allude to in your post. I hear how happy they are, how many friends they've told, how many hours they've bought/are buying etc. etc. Day after day after day; and the other pilots I talk to tell me the same thing. Like someone else said earlier in this thread, if there's any problems, it sure isn't due to a lack of business. Although I hate to think what kind of feeling customers get about us if they're flying with you.

When SWA started out many people said it would never succeed. They had some very rough times early on, but look at em now. Did they succeed because of complaining, negative employees telling everyone not to work there, even when times were tough/busy in the beginning or because of motivated, hard working positive, customer friendly people?

Same with Fedex, NetJets, etc. It takes the employees to make it work as much or more than skilled management.

I wish you the very best in your new job; I hope you've found the perfect company with the perfect management that does everything just the way you like it. I hope they are so successful that no fat ladies will ever sing, in fact I hope they're so busy they call you to come on over a little early.

Have a nice day.

And I almost forgot....I'm leaving after We get all the G3's, VLJ's, 401k,profit sharing, and the "pay raise".....:banghead: ....give me a break!

I read this post and a very bad song pops into my head:
"Love is in the air
Everywhere I look around
Love is in the air
Every sight and every sound
And I don't know if I'm being foolish
Don't know if I'm being wise
But it's something that I must believe in
And it's there when I look in your eyes"

ahahhahahahaha, gotta love the bad songs like this from John Paul Young in situations like this

The way this Co. works is they are probably trying to figure out who I am so they can let me go before I quit.....they get off on that:)

Working for a Part 91 company that owns a Cirrus SR22, we have come up with a question regarding SATSair.

How do you guys operate during known icing conditions? I don't know about the SATS 22s, but ours isn't approved for FIKI, even with the TKS system.

If there's known or forecast ice - we either plan around it or don't go. We're in the SE and flying at lower altitudes so it doesn't come up too often, but we do have to cancel some flights in the winter, or fly the "end run" around the mountains.

Question;
Where are the pilots based?

The current bases are: GMU,JZI,PDK,CRG,PNS,VRB,TPF,ORL,TLH,DAN,HEF,LUK,FCI,BNA,RDU

I think they're looking for people for one or two new locations that aren't on this list -- might be on the web site, I don't know. Don't know where the openings are/will be in the current bases; although I'm pretty sure there's an opening in RDU.

Do you know for sure if there is an opening in RDU. I live about 45 mins. from there in Wilson and may be interested. Who would I contact. Thanks

Still haven't heard a word besides "update in 6 months if your circumstances change". Anyone know if they are still hiring??? I may simply not meet their minimums.

That's what I keep getting.

ATP ~3000 TT ~1400 ME CFI/II/MEI AGI/IGI

I guess I'm not qualified enough to fly an SR22.

there are right seat jobs for 500 hour cfis in PC12s that start at 27... might be single engine but its turbin...

And not loggable unless somehow you got a 135 Ops Spec to require the SIC, did the training and the checkride. I think Alpha does that...not many others that I know of.

Otherwise, you'd be logging SIC in a single pilot airplane...not exactly good for the interview room.
