Plane Missing

in a way i am glad we are closed tonight, my head probably wouldn't be in the game for my next/last flight of the day. I had a SEMI scheduled for this evening too.

hopefully some good will come from this

Seeing them leave dispatch with smiles on their faces makes me sure that they will be smiling down on us in the future.

I was just at the meeting they had in Clifford! I had to get away, because they just confirmed the deaths and a lot of people broke out in tears. My thoughts are with everyone affected :(

RIP, what sad news as it was received in the meeting.

Take care, all of you guys. We forget how unexpected tragedies like this can happen to people we know.

I can't remember which professor mentioned it, but I'm sure you all heard this before, that we will have to get used to hearing such news in this industry. RIP. Deepest sympathy to friends and family, with hopes for finding the cause and the cure.

got this in my email this evening, decided to share since i dont' see it yet.

i can honestly say i do get a little teary eyed thinking about it. i just want to know what happened

To all,

This evening we have confirmed the loss of two of our colleagues, Annette Klosterman and Adam Ostapenko, in the Seminole accident. In response to this tragedy, we held a student support assembly in Clifford Hall 210 with members of the UND Crisis Coordination Team. We are offering another session at noon tomorrow (Thursday) in Clifford Hall 210 for any student, staff, or faculty that would like to attend. Our goal is to share information, answer questions, hear your concerns and discuss support services available.

Staff from the UND Counseling Center will be available for drop-in counseling in the Aerospace Learning Center (the Tutoring Lab, Odegard Hall Room 118) throughout the day. The campus chapels are aware of the situation and are available for individuals who wish to use their services.

In this time of loss, it is especially important to take care of yourselves and each other. We realize the grieving process takes time. Please feel free to talk with faculty members or use other resources (Counseling Center, chapels) as you need during this difficult time.

Please share this message with others who may not have received it.

Sincerely,

Kent

I don't know them as a close friend, however I saw them while I worked Ryan Hall dispatch. Annette became one of those familiar people who would spend a lot of time and dedicated work instructing. I feel weird seeing them just two days ago, it's gotta be hard seeing their expressions just before their flight.

The guy who posted this comment needs to be bitch-slapped and corrected:

The pilot Annette Klosterman, the flight instructor was only age 22 ! There have been so many accidents and death with UND Flight program. Maybe the instructors need at least 10 years experience and many more flight hours. Younger students should stay with ground school. Min age 35 for flight instructors ? Tell me your thoughts. Prayers are with family members. Maybe changes need to be made to prevent future disasters ?
