C'mon people, not a single resume yet.
There must be hundreds of instructors looking at some very cold winter months.
Would you rather fly 70 or 700 hrs in the next seven months?

Maybe this will be of interest, these where taken during on of our training flights at 18,000' on O2 with CPL students, this could be you !

You know that anybody with 250 hours and the ability to recognise a twin engine airplane can get hired at a regional right?

I imagine hiring instructors is VERY hard these days. Good luck though!

:D

god, i'm working in the 'dark ages' of aviation. after reading that equipment list, i won't even mention what i have to train with... :banghead:

Wow, how times change. A couple years ago you would've had resumes flooding your desk with an offer like that.

Looks like a decent gig. I'd come work for you, except I don't need the hours, plus I have some other obligations in life that prevent me from moving right now.

Good luck in your search though!

Yes, times have changed, it's getting harder and harder to find good people.
If you do decide to move (at some point) don't hesitate to give us a call.
Our growth right now is restricted by the number of CFI's.
To really be able to do what we intend to do, we need at least 4.

OK people, here's the deal;
10 aircraft are from June '06, 3 aircraft are from '07.
If you would like to fly the latest and greatest on your path from zero to hero, we are the place to be.
Sorry that's the truth, can't help it.

Does EAA offer benefits? Are instructors classified as independent contractors or employees? How does the transition go for instructors with no previous experience in Diamond aircraft and/or with the G1000? When are you getting your first D-Jet?

(okay, that last one wasn't really serious...)

No benefits as of yet, we are working on it, but no guarantees that we will have it in the next 6 months. We provide the training required ( takes about a week)for the Diamond aircraft and the G1000, all manuals are available through our website or at Garmin.com
Instructors are employees, NOT independent contractors.School provides the students.
Unfortunately the D-jet is not certified yet....I'd like one too...lol
As soon as it is we will be in the race to get one, that could easily take a year or more though.

Unfortunately we do not offer JAA training, so no discount.
The school is called "Europe"-American Aviation because the owners are from Europe, as are half the instructors and half of the students.

Ok, I work with Bruce, so I am biased. No insider information here, but why wouldn't they get a D Jet? One of their biggest source of customers are guys who have bought an eclipse or have an option on a Djet and have a whole lot more money than flight experience. The come in and get some Sim rides in the level 5 FTD and then fly all over the place in a DA42 with an instructor. The 3 DA 42s are flying all the time. But it is a year out ;) ...

It is a great environment here if you want to instruct.

I was just kidding, as last I heard D-Jets aren't yet certificated. Granted, it would be really cool if they got one or two soon afterwards, but any question whose timeline is contingent upon flight testing and yikes, FAA paperwork, should be taken humorously. :D

Actually, when my lease is up and I'm looking for a CFI job, I was thinking of checking the place out and dropping off a resume. But, ahem, horse goes ahead of the cart.
