You're sooooo smart Mike. Maybe a little too smart;). You think I'm going to get wet tonight?
Oh and I think this smiley fits this thread

§ 135.4 Applicability of rules for eligible on-demand operations.

(a) An “eligible on-demand operation” is an on-demand operation conducted under this part that meets the following requirements:

(1) Two-pilot crew. The flightcrew must consist of at least two qualified pilots employed or contracted by the certificate holder.

(2) Flight crew experience. The crewmembers must have met the applicable requirements of part 61 of this chapter and have the following experience and ratings:

(i) Total flight time for all pilots:
(A) Pilot in command—A minimum of 1,500 hours.
(B) Second in command—A minimum of 500 hours.

(ii) For multi-engine turbine-powered fixed-wing and powered-lift aircraft, the following FAA certification and ratings requirements:
(A) Pilot in command—Airline transport pilot and applicable type ratings.
(B) Second in command—Commercial pilot and instrument ratings.

When I flew freight we shared our POI(Karen) with Air Cargo Carriers and yes you need to be an ATP to be a PIC of a part 135 flight there.

so, if it is single pilot, then you do not need an atp...that's odd

I think how that reads is that if you do not have a two pilot crew it is not an eligible on-demand operation.

Business is booming and there are tons of 135 ops out there. Types of equipment flown, safety record, route location, pay, QOL, management, company stabilty & duty hours make a huge difference on who to be calling.
Last week I researched a Falcon 20 job when they called about the resume I faxed them. Scared the pants when I read of all the planes they've lost.
They set a FAA record it seems with 2 seperate crashes on the same day!
Good luck

Was it Grand Air in Toledo? Didnt the owner get killed trying to take off in one of his airplanes?

We need captains on the shorts, BAD.....IFR 135 mins and you might just be a candidate...And with a flow through to UPS in our new contract with them, it might not be a bad call....PM me for details

Say MSUDAWG, what company do you fly for?

atp

That is correct!Thats why Airnet, Ameriflight, Bemiji Aviation, Freight Runners, Paccair, Business Aviation, Capital City, Key Lime, etc.(every one else in the freight world) has single pilot IFR for the small stuff.

If you're single pilot IFR you aren't Eligible On-Demand.
