Which airport are you out of? I do some instructing at PAO (but not at West Valley).

My CFI charges $35 for the first hour, $30 each hr after.
I think he keeps it all though. School makes most/all their money off the planes.

I fly out of San Carlos. I am a member of a private flying club out there.
