considering going there... Was very posetiv about the place but now its a little bit sad here for my part to read about it... I mean, my school sucks hard to, Mx is a joke, we fly only crappy old cessnas with 2 multis falling apart. just want to find a good school like my first opinion of Air safety was.
Maybe Big nr 1 can give me some straight up answers about it or if you have any more info champcar just write them here, glad to read it!

How is the housing there? Instructors have to live on campus or what?

Cirrus fleet is less than 50%, only 4 SR-20s and 1 SR-22 and they are a mx nightmare. They will train in the twins, 2 operational Duchesses and 1 Seminole. Instructors are on their own for living, no campus really.

Okey, whats the best place online to look for apartments. I have heard of something called craigslist. Is that a good place to find living for glendale?
 
Mesa, Glendale...there are a ton of places to live down there. Shouldn't be that difficult if you are making $40,000 a year.
 
All the fleet info Champcar provided is accurate, except that we lost our 172R on Thursday and I hear it's being replaced with another S model. All 3 of our twins are good to fly right now, and we're waiting on the next wave of commercial students to jump in them and fly. Seems like we have a bunch of people in private and instrument courses right now, but they'll progress to the twins soon enough. BTW, all our Commercial and CFI initial ratings are done in the twins because they are our only complex aircraft. Costs a little more, but you're logging more multi time. If you want to fly the Cirrus you can definitely get time in them here. We're not quite the Cirrus mecca we used to be, but if you want experience in them we can accommodate you.

There is no "campus" or housing owned by the school, but there are options within a 1-5 mile radius. The closest apartments are in the $900-$1300 range, but if you look about 3 miles to the west there are cheaper options by the Air Force base ($550-$900). You can also look for a house to rent in the area. I believe the school is just starting to offer students furnished apartment rentals, but you'll have to live with roommates. They will also provide transportation to and from the furnished apartments at certain times throughout the day. I'm not familiar with the costs of these arrangements, so you'll have to inquire with the school.

We have two sims right now, and I hear a third one is on the way. As Champcar said, one of them is a SimFlightTronics SFT3000 (Baron and Bonanza) and the other is a MSFS-based trainer. Haven't used the MSFS setup yet but it looks pretty cool... word is it will be free to use for all students (you can't log the time anyway). I believe there is a full motion King Air sim on the airport, but we haven't used it for anything yet. Not sure if they have plans to implement it into their program.
 
The "Full Motion" sim is on the field down at the end of the south hangars at KGEU. It has never been used because the plan was was to use it for a CRM course, but Dee can't get his act together to get a CRM course finalized and no one wanted to pay for it anyways.

Consider saving a lot of money and going elsewhere.

I got a lot of students in right at budget at that place, BUT I also made a lot of sacrifices to get them there.....

Well folks here is my little 2 cents on Airsafety. Mr. D Pink is a total Ass#@%. He will eventually run that wannabe school in to the ground. He wants to micromanage everything going on and wont let good folks employed to carry out their duties. as said in earlier posts, he is a sales man thru and thru, his word is not worth the spit coming out of his 4foot frame. After helping to run Westwind in to the ground, he is now here doing the same.sh@#!.. again. Big promises of things to come, but all come to knot once he gets you in the door. I packed up my bags and left my family and moved to Az to complete my training after paying the school a visit and taking the "tour". Once i arrived with my stuff... oh dee was a totally different animal. i was basically left stranded and hanging at the door. he just wanted to stuff me in a plane and strip me of my saved up cash without a plan.

WARNING!!! IF YOU ARE NOT INDIAN OR CHINESE STAY AWAY..

These are the only folks he wants to deal with because he can con them and threating them with TSA.. blah blah blah, a bunch of kids who know no better on how the system runs in the US. The other partner is a nice gentleman who i hope wakes up and figure out how D is going to ruin their venture with his antics if he is not checked.

Needless to say i left after several days without getting any training done and a couple of hundred dollars poorer. Seems like a decent place (on the surface), great staff (if left alone to do their work) but one man and one man alone will bring that whole place down. Do not trust this "d" fellow further than you can throw him, get any thing he tells u in writting and PRAY.:panic:

40000 salary..hahahaahah yeah right!! talk to the guys currently slaving away there if they see this
 
I will admit Dee has seemed to calm down a tad on the micromanaging stuff...Though after rereading this entire thread, this place is what you make of it, just like anything...
