You would never really hear of this regardless. The media only puts out small snippets of information regarding the war on drugs. Most of the information is highly sensitive. Heck in this case all you got was the story of an unknown person. Other than the people who personally know me on this site I may be full of crud with my story.

By the way, a family moving towards a better way of life do not move as a convoy with armed personnel, and in vehicles that are armored. I am certain that we in the military, the federal services, and local police departments can tell the difference between drug smugglers and Jose, Maria, and the kids trying to get across the border. Plus we were no where near the U.S. border.
*No offense to any S. American immigrant family with those names or similar names or anyone else for that matter. I myself come from an immigrant family.

ya know, I have a problem with us being involved in it. If it were columbians, or brazilians doing the dirty work, then fine, their country, their laws, their authority. Us providing the survailance is a little disquieting (though I am no less happy that we stopped the stuff from hitting the street somewhere).

and yes, I do think that wealth should be redistributed (i'm serious, this isn't a flame war starter I hope)...
 
Do accidents happen? Of course they do. Do we intentionally hit our own people? That's a bit of a conspiracy theory but who knows I may be wrong. As far as operations in Central America they are legal, authorized, and in some small way effective.

Are you serious? I don't have time to do the research for you right now but if you truly feel the U.S.of A practices on the moral high ground you are mistaken. We do not practice what we preach. We do claim to work from a moral high ground but our politics have a long history of achieving our goals by any means necessary.
Let no one here misconstrue my comments as un-patriotic. I have served our country thank you. Our recent history within our borders is sad to say the least. Our Constitution is in jeopardy and no one cares to concern themselves with this fact.
I find it funny, and very sad, that you worry about due process in another country when we don't even have it in ours anymore.

Dude, no kidding we do not practice what we preach. I offer this video as evidence. Black Water is just the latest example. Do you think my attention is so narrow that I don't know that due process has been chipped away at here as well as there? For someone that has been here for almost 4 years, I would think you would know better.

God forbid you read a dissenting opinion, the mark of a true intellectual. I guess its ok for Stephen Colbert to use humor as a spear but when a conservative does it thats offsides eh? I see your point though, its much easier to use canned graphics than have an original thought.

I think 9 minutes is quite long enough for someone to read that document. So, continue to assume and make a spectacle of yourself, you're not fooling anyone. The only thing I would need those for is some of the poop in the link you provided. What does it have to do with this thread, and what was the Author smoking when he wrote it are the only 2 questions your link conjures in my mind. And 7000 words in 9 minutes is no great accomplishment. I don't consider myself any type of speed reader, but a recent test I took showed me at 950 WPM with a 91% comprehension rate.

So, anything to contribute to the original necrotic topic??

Only slightly more than you it seems. Spose I should hand you a shovel, especially since I took a test recently that showed I could leap buildings in a single bound.
