CFIs Needed in Indy

We're a growing flight school in the Indianapolis area. We currently have 6 full-time instructors and need about 3 more. All full-time instructors are currently instructing more than 100 hours/month with good pay and more students than we can currently handle. We are a Cessna dealer and our fleet of 12 aircraft consist of all new aircraft - 7 of which are G1000 equipped. Train under part 141 and 61. Opportunities for flying traffic watch flights in our G1000 equipped Skyhawks. Only flight school in the Indy area that offers multi-engine training/rental. Earn bonuses for reaching hourly goals and being involved in aircraft sales. PM me for details or to set up an interview.

1st: WELCOME TO JC! Paul send you over?

2nd: So you have the ME back online? What is its cost??

Thanks for the welcome. I've been very impressed with JC so far.

Our Seminole is up and actually has been since last summer. It's been very busy this past spring and summer and is doing great. The problem we have is that we just lost 2 of our full-time MEI's this week. That leaves me and another part-time MEI to fill the gap - neither of which have any time to be doing the instructing. Help! By the way - we rent it for $185/hour to our club members and $200/hour to non-members.

Now now.... lol this is where I did my training..... Anyone who is looking for a job this is a great place though. I have a huge debate right now between staying home or instructing at ATP.... There are a lot of PLUS sides to IndyAero that I cant say ATP has..... HOwever again this is an amazing job with some top notch equipment. I believe this past month talking to my buddy who was hired by AirWisky he billed over 140 this month.... I think he said all CFI's had over 100 hours and this is a COMMON theme here......

140h is some serious time spent in the aircraft... A tad too much, don't you think ? I mean, back in my ERAU days, we would start the day at 0600am and finish at 4.00pm, flying in the super-busy DAB area. Doing this 6 days a week, I was kind of whooped by the end of the week, and ultimately, it shows. Or maybe am I getting too old for this sheet (©Dany Glover) ?

I have been a CFI at Indy Aero since may and have had a great experience so far. This is an excellent opportunity for those who don't mind a little hard work, and want to build time quickly. The pay is above average and the bonuses are easily attainable. You will most likely have a full schedule within a week or two and there are plenty of flight opportunities outside of instructing. The people here are great to work with and the rental fleet is the best in the state. If you have any questions about the job feel free to PM me.

I live in Huntington and am currently the wabash airport manager I might be interested I have 2 interviews in arizona at some flight academies this week. Trying to build some more time I am only getting about 2 hours a week at wabash but I'm paid salary since I'm the manager. Is there opportunity for some multi time. I have my CFII but will get my MEI if the opportunity to build the time is there. I talked to the guy that went to ISU a couple of weeks ago when he flew in. Had nothing but good things to say about Indy Aero. I also went to ISU and got a degree so I'm just looking for a good CFI gig to build my time up and if I get to stay in Indiana even better. Thanks for the info.

I'll definitely be interested next spring/summer. My wife and I are tired of Phoenix, and I'll have my CFII / MEI.

On the flip side, what is the student life like? Part 141 or 61 only stuff?

I think that is one of the great things about the school. The customer base is quite varied. We are getting more and more career-oriented students which means mostly post-college age but we also work with several business type people. We are the new Cessna (and hopefully Columbia dealer soon) for IN, WI, and most of IL so we do have a few customers that purchase their own new aircraft to train in. The majority of our students train under Part 61.

Does anybody know if IndyAero is still looking for CFI/MEI. I am interested in moving to the Indianapolis area and it looks like this is the best flight school in the state of Indiana.

Well we are back to needing CFI's. Immediate openings available. Contact me if you have any questions or are interested.
