plane crash landing right by my house

WOW! check out one of these 'comments' on there lol

The skies are littered with old, fatigued aircraft that aren't airworthy. Couple this with the fact that most of our General Aviation airports are located in densely populated areas, and it becomes apparent how amazing it is that more people aren't killed by these suicide machines.

or this one :D

That's why I will never fly in a small plane. This happens almost everyday. I don't trust small planes.

I just read some of the comments and I am happy that I did. There is hope for me still, because I did not know that people that stupid and ignorant could use a keyboard.

And don't you love it when people who know nothing about aviation talk about like they are experts and get it all wrong. Very frustrating....

"It was a very steep bank....very steep into the ground.." According to her hand motion that's pitch not bank...but it's OK shes a pilot!

When I first heard it I thought he had just landed on I-95 and there was minor damage to the aircraft. Then I look at the front page of today's Sun-Sentinel and see a picture of the aircraft disintegrated with him and his seat standing in the middle of the rubble while firefighters tried to get him out. What a lucky guy! That's my exit right there where he crashed and there was still some scattered small pieces allover the grass and a large chunck of the fence (along the railroad) missing when I passed by this afternoon.

I also just realized that I see this plane landing and taking off almost everyday. It was truly a joy to hear those radial engines and now it's gone.:( Glad to hear the pilot is fine though.

For those of you who didn't get to see the picture:

You will still see them...they have three more. One of which had a nose gear collapse at FXE two weeks ago. They load them up pretty tight and they always look heavy. I wont speculate so I'll just say, I'm looking forward to reading the NTSB report.

It was without a doubt one sight to see. I got to see it for a second than got to go direct traffic. Yippie! :sarcasm:

It happened right smack in the middle of my zone.

Bummer. I almost made that picture. I know who's Troopers car that is in there though so do I win something?

I was directing traffic at Cypress Creek at that point.
