Survival Kit

Survival kit contents check. In them you'll find: one forty-five caliber automatic; two boxes of ammunition; four days' concentrated emergency rations; one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills; one miniature combination Russian phrase book and Bible; one hundred dollars in rubles; one hundred dollars in gold; nine packs of chewing gum; one issue of prophylactics; three lipsticks; three pair of nylon stockings.

Back in the day, that was my "Weekend Liberty" kit!:D

Cross-referencing your "How To Make A 65 Year-Old TSA Screener Blush . . ." thread, I'll bet that's pretty accurate! (ACCA'RIT as we said in Oakland)

MRE's are an excellent idea.

Often times I considered dragging a few boxes on my MD-90 trips because I got (expletive deleted) SICK of the food selections at SLC. Burger...Pizza...Chinese... Augh!

The SLC food choices do suck.....but it's bad when you're considering an MRE in place of actual food.........:bandit:

they're not that bad.

sadly enough, i ate 2 cases one summer as a CFI because a $4.50 MRE was all I could afford for dinner. Thank god i've moved up to pb&j for lunch and frozen dinners :sarcasm:

MRE = great for the survival kit.
MRE ≠ replacement to airport food (as bad as it usually is).

Wow, you must've been über-desperate to consider MRE's Doug. :panic:
