Congrats. I don't know about you, but I was amazed at how quickly the plane left the ground without the weight of my instructor on board. What a thrill! :rawk:

I was more amazed with how much easier the landings seemed to be. Seriously, those were three of my best landings yet I think.

Thanks everyone. I was very excited. I pretty much knew I would probably be soloing last night, so my roommate came to watch and some of the airport bums that I love so much were there to watch too. They cheered me on a little over the radio. I was so nervous though that I'm surprised Ryan was willing to get out of the plane. My normal, decently relaxed state was no where to be found last night. I was so nervous that I started the engine and didn't even put the brakes in... gawd that was embarrassing. I won't even tell you some of the other stupid things I did last night but we did a couple of touch and goes and I loosened up and went back to doing what I knew to do, so by the time he got out, I was feeling a little better. I still made sure to get a hug first though. lol I'm a huggy kind of person. Anyways, I think I did great. I was proud of myself. And once I actually got up there alone, it wasn't nearly as horrifying as I thought it would be. My biggest fear is that I would get up there and get too scared to land on my own, but that of course did not happen.

So then the six of us went and had dinner and an overall good time! I couldn't drink last night because I still had to drive home and get up for work early the next morning, but I'm still promised a little booze to celebrate the occassion at a later time!!! :D
