These people are very gay. . . :banghead:

On the other hand, it's pretty easy stuff!

I think I can get my old run back and be born again hard!!

What version of gay are we talking about?

None of those . . . lol.

Gay, as in the "I'm 22, have never lived away from home, and have never KNOWN a woman (or man for that matter) . . . " gay!:D

I actually had a kid call me "old"!! Can you believe it?

Really, I just need a friend. Somebody that has filed a flight plan before. Or, maybe knows what a cloud looks like. You know, I'd settle for somebody that's old enough to drink without feeling nervous about it.

Did you slap him so hard that he hasn't stopped rolling yet???:D

Where are you in training right now, Lloyd? I mean, what city?

As for the 'kid factor' you've got there...well...I imagine if I ever get into a professional flying gig I'll feel the same way. So will every other career changer.

If you're an old man, I'm ancient brotha! :)

You don't always prefer the company of the circle you're training with. I know there were people that I felt cohesive with and others that only wanted to deal with on a strictly business basis.

If you need to get away for a couple hours, call me!

Seriously, sometimes in ground school at AA I thought I was going to strangle somebody. All the new-hires who'd never been F/As before were about to implode with all their yipping and yapping and I finally took to hiding in the stairwell for a couple hours each night, just for my own sanity.

Dude! You're in a jet dude ... you should be stoked, man! DuDE!!!!!1111

Just wait until you get to call those kids "captain". Won't that be fun?

But seriously stick with it, at least give it a few months online before you quit. It looks a lot better on the resume that way.

Lloyd can't spike his hair. :) :sarcasm:

yeah, but the brotha can grow a mean fade:

I know how you feel...

Hang in there! It's definitely not the same as freight, though...

I know how you feel about someone calling you old. I had someone that is doing CFI with me ask if I was nervous because I wouldn't have that much time to put into my 401K. I almost had him out with a triangle choke when someone opened the door.

I feel your pain. I have some good buds in training, and there those who I can't stand. Mainly the ones who...

a) think they are too cool for school
b) ask the most asinine questions all day long
c) combination of both a and b

Cheers!

Are you still in SLC. If so where you biking at?
Shane

Still in SLC :) I have been doing the local spin around the airport grounds when I am short on time. Otherwise I have gone up to some trails on the west side of town. Not very good with trail names, so I am not sure exactly where. I am just coming off a back injury so I am making slow but steady progress on getting in shape again.

I am always down for a ride!

If you wanna ride with a slow out of shape dude I am your man. I ride on the east side benches so we could get some good rides in. I need the distraction.
Shane

If you go back to IND HQ...86th St. Pub.
If you have access to a vehicle in STL and can make the drive to Alton, IL...Fast Eddie's. Either one should cure your woes.

Ooh, whoops, I guess I locked the thread by accident! Sorry!

I looked across the desk and asked, "Who locked the thread?! You?"

Kristie says, "No, check the admin logs"

I did and DOH! I wonder how in the heck I mistakenly did that!

Did ya throw him a red-card too?? He deserves it when he brings his constant "wakkie-nu-nu" ideals and behavior on here! ;)
