New hires starting at second year pay; ASA ?

Oh, that guy who knows a guy that plays golf with the other? :)

Might as well spill it. Only about 10% of rumors ever come to fruition anyway.

There was a rumor floating around the school house the other day that we were ordering another 100 XRJ's and opening a base for Delta out of San Diego.

The most amazing part was that people bought it!

"We're opening a new base for Delta in San Diego"

"Delta doesn't have a hub in San Diego, that doesn't make any sense"

"BUT DUDE WE'RE GETTIN' MORE PLANES! I HEARD AT THE TRAINING CENTER!"

"But no really that doesn't make ANY sense, let's go check the voicemail...nope, no new planes."

Well, anyone who knows anything knows that EMB doesn't make 50 seat jets anymore...so not sure how that rumor even got off life support!

It is the rumours you don't hear.

Barry: You drunk?

Thursday January 18th, 2007...

When we log into check our pairing. Conference call at 11:00 AM about the future of Colgan.

Well, were you drunk? :p

matt believe me they would build those planes in a heartbeat if they had a 30+ plane order.

I don't know the quantity of planes it would take for them to open up the XR assembly line again but I have heard this a lot, that an order large enough (but not necessarily XJT's 100 options) would be enough for them to build them. Who knows.

That said, I don't think anybody is going to need to order any 50 seat jets in the next 10 years because I think there is going to be a LOT of extra ones sitting around. The XRs would be a better thing to have in a fleet then the other ERJs though, that's a fact.

Their interviews are good, it is the sim ride portion of the interview that is a b****. Half of our flight instructors from my former school got sent home, and they were all 1000+ hour local ATL people. Even our chief flight instuctor got the "no go", and he has already completed airline training once in his career. So, go figure.
