A Few New Photos

Is it just me being 23 years old, or is it absurd when insurance companies use age as an excuse to not insure?

Because insurance companies don't look at the individual, per se. They look at tables of statistics and determine that the odds are an 18 year old will screw something up, raising their risk of payout. This is why 16-year-olds pay exhorbitant car insurance rates.

Wanna see something truly disgusting? Look at what a certified MSF (motorcycle safety foundation) instructor would pay for full coverage on a CBR 1100 Blackbird in a major city under the age of 21. Usually the premium is more than the cost of the bike.

Paying for insurance, essentially, is legalized gambling. They're betting you're gonna screw up, you're betting you won't, and the premiums are the stakes.

That is why I am happy that Washington doesn't require insurance on bikes.

If dude has a CBR1100, no need for insurance. Might as well just runway from the cops. Haha

*sarcasm* intended..
