Curious to see if anyone else has made it through the off the street method.. Let me know I would like to ask some questions Thanks
Yes, I went through the "off the street" method. No CTI, no MARC, no military ATC experience.

Worked fine for 18 years.

Congrats on hearing something from the FAA, I applied via the same route for open positions in Nor Cal over 2 months ago, they still havent posted a referral list!
What info are you looking for ? There are a few new guys in my area who where hired via the ATSAT ... lately I have learned some info about the new "off the street" hires...
Where I work there is a couple of the new hires that were hired through ATSAT off the street. Most have zero aviation knowledge and walking into a level 12 center they have had their work cut out for them. Since you are on this board I assume that you have aviation knowledge. That is the advantage that CTI's and VRA's have. Either prior ATC through the military or at least some aviation knowledge. Walking into a ATC facility understanding the system, airways, VOR's, A/C types and performance is a huge advantage, it lets you focus on the nuts and bolts of ATC.
How long did it take for the checks to get done?
