so, there i was eating panda express.....

I fell in love with Pick up Stix when I was out in San Diego....more food same price and great taste.

Really? I Found the exact opposite :-/

less to eat, at $1.50 more. Food was pretty tasty though, but my Orange Chicken from Panda makes me happy.

Wow good restraint on that one Triple 7. See I would have choked the gentleman out and shoved the remains of my orange chicken into his ears and nose holes, COBRAAAAA!!!!
:banghead: Either way I would look at that as an insult to both my profession and intelligence.

I love Pandas! I can't eat a whole one though.

Good answer for the gumballs out there? "Those who can, do. Those who can't, whine about it."

But remember, the passenger is always right. The airlines are the reason things suck, right? Right?

BTW, Jim. Your new avatar is cracking me up. I actually played Punch Out on the Wii the other night courtesy of the virtual console.

If only those guys knew how dated our computers in the ERJ are. I swear there's got to be a Commodore 64 in there somewhere.

Yeah they are the McDonalds of Chinese food. Always seems to hit the spot when you want some fast Chinese.

I agree. Good-n-fast.

However, beware the fortune cookies that don't have a fortune in them....

I had went to the UPS Store to ship some stuff back home. Right next store was a Panda Express so I walked over and had lunch. Afterwards I opened up the fortune cookie....nothing inside! I figured it was bad luck.

Sure enough, a few days later I got a phone call from my mom and she said the UPS driver had run over the family dog and killed him. Not only that, they lost half the stuff I had sent.

Coincidence?

have you found a pei wei in an airport? if so, let me know....

No doubt! Pei Wei/PF Chang/Flemings is a Scottsdale-based company so I'd presume if there was, there'd be one at Sky Harbor.

I'm not a big fan, but if you spend a year in SLC, you'd love 'em because it wasn't a hamburger and it wasn't pizza. One of the worst airports on earth up until recently for nutritious food. Or speed.

....listening to two jackasses next to me spout off about how being a pilot is such an easy job. How the airplanes dont even need pilots. How the computer does it all, and does it better. They would trust a computer landing more than a person, because the computers operating systems dont crash as much as humans do. How they have never seen a pilot leave the cockpit ahead of the pax, because they are prob trying to hide because they are drunk or asleep. I was in uniform, and had to bite my tounge, until they said "hey buddy, do you think these airplanes really need pilots? what do you do up there anyways?" I told him there was plenty to be done in flight. His answer, "what? ring the stewardess for a drink?"

jacka$$.

You know, that's just the way that "Joe Six Pack", who is probably the biggest guy in his little world strokes his ego when he's got to rely on someone other than himself to carry him safely through the world of 38,000 feet, mach .81 and a SAT of -56 using concepts his pea brain can't fathom.

I used to get all bent out of shape about that stuff, but I've found peace.

Please do not call the crap that comes out of Panda Express or similar places "Chinese" food.

It's not.

Thank you.

As for the conversation, well, just another case of Joe Twelvepack proving H.L. Mencken right.

Agreed! I avoid that place like the plague!

I don't think we even have a Panda Express around here. They'd be laughed right out of San Francisco. I could be wrong though. There might be one hiding in some corner of the city. I tried it once in another US city and it didn't taste like Chinese food to me - nasty!

Of course I'm a Chinese food snob because we have the best here. Vancouver does as well.
