Did you guys hear about the stupid pilot who commuted to work only to figure out he had left his suitcase for the trip at home?
 
Wow, that's gonna be one smelly flightdeck on day 4.......eeewwww

Oh, by the way, it's recommended that you DO bring the suitcase......not leave it at home. It's much more useful when you have it where you are located. :D ;)
 
I'd have to question the validity of the story. Commuters rarely check, so you'd know as soon as you hit security that you forgot it... if not sooner. I've forgotten stuff before, but never the 40+ pound bag of carp that rolls behind me.

:laff: :laff: If you are going commando just make sure you verify that your fly is always up! Some years ago, at a previous job, had a co-worker tell me once of a time she went "commando" at an office job and missed that vital zipper check after a bathroom break. We were on the topic of most embarassing moments. She won.

I've 'heard' many stories of reserve pilots getting assigned to an out & back, bringing only their briefcase, then getting reassigned at their destination to a 4 day.

That sucks!

I ALWAYS bring my rollaboard. You never know when you're going to break down in an outstation! Plus, I always pack for one extra day just in case.

OH its valid alright. The pilot drives 3 hours to work, so you can imagine it being a little easier to leave behind.

Ahh, ok. When you said commuted I assumed that you meant hopped on a flight. Didn't even think about the driving crowd. My bad.
