I live on the South end of town by Rydell and there is the most horrid smell in the air right now. No, this isn't a slam on Grand Forks, all cities have something stinky. If it comes to that from other users, oh well.

What in all things divine is this friggen smell!?!?!?! :(:banghead::banghead::banghead:

It doesn't seem to be lagoon, simplot, or the factory in east grand. Must be a combo of all three or something. All I know is this is terrible. It's smells like someone just crapped in my room.

OOOO I am gonna have to agree with Tom on this one. This is absolutely horrible. When you have to close the windows and doors so that the smell stops coming through, you know that it must be a BADDDD smell !

Whatever this "smell" is makes me almost nauseous, and it comes and goes, but WOW it is horrible. All i know is it is stinky....... very stinky.

My parents were greeted with the lovely Grand Forks smell when they came for my graduation. They kept asking how anyone could stand to live here.

I was getting ready to BBQ tonight and I opened the patio door and said "oh heyell no!"...but for some odd reason after 30 minutes the smell went away and then came back again a couple of hours later. Weird.

Do you have a water treatment plant near you? I work at/near one and you can smell it for miles. And the smell is something you will never forget.

Yeah, that's exactly what happend to me as well. It's not like the other smells I'm used to smelling in this city. It is a straight up poop smell.

Not GF, but reminds me of when I worked in a small "grain mill" town in IL, for 3 weeks the whole town wreaked of 6 month old used cat litter of the worst brand

New England smells beautiful this morning. Ocean breeze smell with a hint of the fresh bakery next door.

I deserve this after spending the past 9 months in Grand Forks.

Then you'll walk right out to the Aston Martin and fire it up to cruise down to the beach :D

Jace you have it all wrong. It's Monday. So that means it is Porsche Cayenne Day. Saturday is Aston Martin Day. Every other day is Camry day. :)

Bah, you can have the cayenne. Which aston martin do you get to go mess around in?

Vantage:

The Cayenne is an incredible machine. Hardly an SUV! The cornering is superior to many sports cars and the power is unreal. Maybe even more than my FORD F-350 TURBOMAX DIESEL SUPREME! YEAH!!!! :sarcasm: I've done very little off-roading, but it does a very nice job of convincing the driver you will not get stuck. If anyone gets a chance to ride in one, do it. I'm positive you'll be impressed with overall capabilities. Sorry for the run-on. I'm really fond of that machine.

The "bond mobile" is the 2003 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage. V12. 435bhp. 100% British Beef. :)

Oh I'm sure I'd be impressed with it's on road capabilities for what it is. I'm just not very fond of the cayenne/toureg for various reasons.

I don't know, I'm of the mindset, get cars/vans for your on road needs and trucks/suvs/jeeps(and their competition) for your off road and hauling needs.
I've been in plenty of cross-overs to know that while they are descent enough on road, they are mediocre if not completely incapable off road. I mean real off road, not prepared dirt or grass paths with a few small rocks. My friggen grandma car can handle that crap. I'm talking mild to extreme rock crawling and/or driving in deep mud. Independant suspension FTL.

Not trying to be harsh or anything. I'm just as much of a trail machine enthusiast as I am a sports car enthusiast and I get kind of irritated when I see pictures of tourages "rock crawling" and they have one wheel sticking up in the air like 4 feet and people calling it "capable". :banghead: I'll give you that the cayenne is a descent road going machine though. :)

*cough*Two Ford duratec v-6s mated together*cough*

I'm jealous. Aston Martin makes arguably the most beautiful cars ever and I would be satisfied with just getting to ride in one. If I drove one, I'd need new pants. :D

It's my damn thread, so who cares? :nana2:

Now we move our discussion to this bad boy.

I'm 90% sure this is what I'm gona be swapping into an 83 celica, pending inspection for rust and rot when I go home this week. The 4age 20v silvertop of doom.

Anyone riden in a car with one of the best engines toyota has ever made installed into it(aside from the blacktop 4age 20v)? These engines are only available in Japan and so the car would have had to have this swapped. 160hp and 8500rpm redline singing the tune of 4 independant throttle bodies= FUN!

Great engine... Toyota Trueno FTW! Back when Corollas were RWD!

Still can't beat the cleanliness of my Japanese mistress :D :D :D :D :rawk::rawk::rawk::rawk:...soon to have an AEM short ram air intake.
