I'm generally on the I-don't-like-Nickelback-bandwagon, but they have had some notable exceptions that I dig.

"Leader Of Men" has a really good hook and I dig the lyrics. It's on one of their older albums.

"Animals" - it rocks. It's a take off your pants and kick over your furniture kind of song, or a drive really fast type song. Take yer pick.

There's one or two others. I also have to give props to Chad Kroeger - in spite of not liking a lot of their songs, the guy has got a hell of a set of pipes.
 
I'm just impressed that Grand Forks was able to get them to come HERE. Probably going to bring in a good chunk of change to the Alerus.

His older stuff is a lot better then his new stuff. I really like the song Hero and Rockstar. How ever, his new stuff is geared more towards pop fans.

What music do you guys listen to? I am really getting sick of the same old same old popish music.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of dance/house music. I'm not entirely sure why. Might be that it's fun to drive to. Channel 33-36 on sirius makes that 9 hour drive home seem like 3 hours.

I've definitly gone through quite the transformation in regard to the music I listen to on a regular basis. Went from alternative to harder rock to screeming death metal like cradle of filth, lamb of god, trivium, children of bodum. That EMO ######## like "avenged sevenfold" and the worst band in the world "my chemical romance" does not count. I got into metal simply because I am a drummer and those guys are the best drummers in the world. The lyrics are pretty questionable in nature if you ask me. haha

Now it's the dance stuff. I've gone back to listening to a lot of KMFDM lately.
 
Heck yes. I was listening to Area 33 on Sirius today. Also threw in some Maxim and BBC Radio1.
And no good can come from EMO at all.

Nice, I still have Hits 1 as a preset, but the music on there is not as good as it was a couple years ago. Also I have Margaritaville, Octane, Big 80's, Fox News, Super Shuffle, and some others that I don't even remember.
