anyone ever try it? or how does it compare to other ANR headsets? i do like how it looks, and may be replacing my Sigtronics S-68 (upgraded with Oregon Aero seals and hush kit) which broke on friday.

I know everyone will try to suggest BOSE, but before you do, i have tried it and i didn't like it. I don't like how it fits my ears, it was a really tight fit and it bothered me. They belong to my student and are in his airplane, but when i fly with him even though i could use them, i don't because of the fit.

Bose headsets feel like a vice on my head. I love my Lightspeeds, personally. I can't say a thing about the Flightcomm's, but I dig my Lightspeeds.

I've flown with my Flightcom Classic ANR for more than a thousand hours now and have been extremely happy with it. It's reasonably comfortable, good ANR, very good passive noise reduction, very rugged...just an all around solid headset. It might not be the best in every area, but it's pretty decent in most areas and has a competitive price. Overall I think they're good buys and I wouldn't hesitate to get another.

I always preferred ergonomic headsets to the old school style straight cups like their normal line, and their denali headset was worse than average for me.

How about the telex Stratus 50-d? ...cig lighter+battery powered so you never run out of battery, foam ear seals to seal softly against your sunglasses, and tilted earcups. Also has tension cam to adjust the tension, fully adjustable. It's similar to lightspeeds in comfort but I feel that the materials are of a much higher quality. I happen to have one for sale...did I mention it is brand new, I've been a member since 2002, and you're saving over $100? I feel that it is THE best in value, comfort, battery life, and noise reduction.
