There's only one thing to do in a situation like that: Take 360 north to Division, go East to Gilligan's, and have Wednesday $2 Rocks and Bocks.

I think there's a band still, but it's been a while. Do they still do a block party on St. Paddies? Good lord, those things were monsterous.

I was working at Red Lobster. Asked the guest if she would like another chardonnay then power went out immediately after I said that. The front door flung open from the wind and trees couple feet away were bent all the way down and hitting the window. Power still out when I left. Guests got free food and little ole me $9 in tips!:banghead: At least I got out early!

So do you guys drink as much as we did at our Red Lobster?

Something about the atmosphere, coupled with Hawaiian shirts and the restaurant industry... t-r-o-u-b-l-e. Good times!

Nope, Red Lobster has this policy of not serving more than 3 drinks to any one customer. Corporate doesn't want to be known as a hang out and get drunk spot...Oh well, plenty of other choices in Big D!:)

I've been occasionally looking at the DFW weather over the past few weeks since I'll be moving down there soon. It's funny to see that pretty much everyday has a chance of thunderstorms. So...not only is it amazingly hot, you guys got severe weather every day!

Storm passed completely over my house around 7 last night.

At 8 my power went out.

It's still out. :banghead:

Kinda makes you appreciates the early settlers without electricity who had to watch their TV by candlelight, doesn't it?

;)

It was the fourth time in less than two months the tornado sirens have gone off near my apartment. At least I'm only 1 for 4 for actual tornado sightings this year. And you know the rain is blowing hard (no pun intended), when you can actually see rooftop vortices.

I'm not sure what would be more scary...
a. flying into last night's weather in a small plane or
b. out at sea on a small ship in the same weather

Flower Mound here, about 2 miles from Marcus High. Lost power at around 6:30pm, got it back at around 2:00am. Tornado sirens were going off from 5:45pm - 10pm. One tornado spotted last night, and roof damage this morning. Yard and plants in the yard were screaming at me this morning...NO MORE RAIN.

It wasn't like this last year. This spring is crazy. Really gawd, I gots some flying to do, please make it quit.

This spring has, so far, been utterly bizarre in DFW. It's been colder, wetter and more violent than I can remember in years - and I've been here almost 20.

We've totally made up for this summer's drought, for sure.

I also heard this storm flipped a plane at GKY yesterday but I can't confirm it.

There's a bunch of us without power right now. Over 200,000 in Dallas county alone, another 100,000 in Tarrant.

the news showed a 172 flipped over at Harrison @ GKY yesterday. i did not catch anything but the last 4 of the N#: ##4NY

flooded my buddy's house near hulen & altamesa and my parents' backyard near forest park & 30.

Yeah, it ripped the plane off its chain tiedowns, and it flew 40 feet down to Harrison. I will try to get some pics later.

Maybe we should congratulate it on its first solo?

Really? That's strange.

Olive Garden's policy is to serve until you the server thinks it is time to stop. You would think it would be the same.

Who owned the plane?

Yeah, which one was it? 4NY isn't one at Skymates. Out of all of the planes that deserve this treatment, it would have to be 5195E. That owner has no manners when it comes to the schedule when he wants to use his plane. Although, I know it wasn't 95E because you were in it entering the pattern today when you called out 5219V...the one that I was in and ALSO in the pattern. Or, was it that old man controller that was pulling his hair out today trying to sort out the pattern...and he was just confuzzzzzzed?
