Any adivse on black male pants that don't require dry cleaning?

Did purchased some Hagars like 4 months ago and they didn't hold up. They are covered by a warrenty, but don't want to ride the warrenty roller-coster.

when I was instructing I bought some black dickies. i liked em, didn't wear out and at least in my opinion the didn't make me look like a cheesedick

Aren't you afraid of what would happen if you had to fight an in-flight fire wearing those?

I stick with wool or cotton because of this...

Kevin... Stop it with this whole "Common Sense" thing you got going on... ;)

They are the most comfy... stain and wrinkle resistant... machine washable pants I've had while flying... but... I suppose if they were melted to my legs... I wouldn't be thinking that.

It's a gamble...

I know, Iknow, it's my Navy training.

As long as you are aware...

There's a Delta guy at JFK who was a Pan Am flight attendant and went the civilian route to get his ratings and then flew for Pan Am.

During his civilian training he had an engine fire which spread to the instrument console...

He was able to land, but he was engulfed in flames coming down final... He was burned over 90% of his body and credits (among other things) the cotton jeans and shirt with letting him live...

I'm just saying... nobody likes to think about it, but...

Nordstrom's house brand (JW Nordstrom) are without a doubt the best trousers I have ever owned. They don't wrinkle, I've washed them 1,347 times and they look brand spanking new. They're very comfortable.

They run about $60-90 depending on cut/fabric you get, but worth every penny because they will last. MHO, only...

The rest of these guys must be rich. I recommend George brand from Wal-Mart. I've worn them for years. They matched my uniform when I was doing airline flying. They are lightweight, comfortable, and cheap enough that if they start getting that shiny-spot from the seatbelt, I can just throw them out and buy new ones!

Only $19.96 (also available in flat-front)

Banana Republic Chinos. They'll last, they're comfortable, and reasonably priced.

I have to reccomend Land's End brand first ;) and Nordstrom second. I've worn both and can attest to the Nordstrom quality, stain resistance and wrinkle-freeness(?). Land's breath well and may work better during the summer months.
