So the lovely midwest allowed me to renew my instrument currency... in one night!
6 legs.
6 Approaches.
None >300ft ceilings
2 <100ft
I'm tired.
How were you getting in with <100ft ceilings in a Baron?
My last leg I climbed above it at 8.were you in the soup all night, or were you able to climb above the junk?
:yeahthat:135 (and I ASSume 121 is the same), visibility is the only limitation. If the approach calls for 1 mile vis, and you have 1 mile vis, you can shoot the approach. Now, having said that, if you shoot said approach, and the MDA is 500', with the reports being <001 OVC then you might have some expaining to do on how exactly you saw the visual references:insane:
Usually, on an ILS, when you are shooting an approach to mins, your flight visibility will be better than what's reported, since the lights can be seen easier at night, (and there are some other tricks to help out :yar: ), they will have all the lights cranked up, and you can continue down 100' if you have the approach lights in sight...something I did many times as a freight dawg!

Hey congrats on getting TUL - When do you start flying on it? I'm probably not all that helpful as an SIC, I know this because I try my best to be helpful. My buddy from the last class took my place in MKE as an SIC.Too bad you didn't have an SIC like me to help you through the night. Jordan's just not as helpful![]()
