Question (probably stupid...)

But I'll ask anyway! When you look at the pay scales at airline pilot central, willflyforfood.cc, ect. and it shows 1st yr, 2nd yr. 3rd yr. and so on.... When you upgrade to captain, you begin anew at the bottom scale for "captain yr. 1" or do you go up to say, year 3 if you've been a FO for that long? Thanks, just want clarification. :insane:

Generally, you jump to the number of years you have been on... If you upgrade in your third year with the company, you'll be a third year CA.

Ahhhh, so all these years I though I'd go back to first year captain, lol, well this is actually some good news (for me anyway)

Well good!

One thing you still need to remember is the fact that you DO go to the bottom of the CA seniority list, which might mean ready reserve, reserve, and finally a line. Not too bad, but I can totally see why some people on this site have been smart enough to forego the left seat for the perks of being a senior FO.

Does make sense, and I can totally see if your happy with it, keep doing it. HOWEVER, lol, at a regional, if your only an FO for a few years, why not, ya know?

I hear you - it's all about priorities!

No stupid questions on this site either... if you're wondering about it, someone else is and isn't asking.

Virgin America says you will go to capatin year 1. :banghead: Lets hope that is not the sign of things to come.
