I'm goin for it

Good luck to you!! You're in a good position to make a go at it soon.

Just some advice, in my opinion. Still get your CFI. Even if you get hired before getting your CFI. I can not put a price tag on the experience I learned for the whopping 250hrs I was a CFI for. It was a lot of fun and really gave me confidence as a pilot. Just accomplishing the CFI checkride is a great feeling.

You won't be able to use that CFI ticket when you're at a 121 airline, BUT, its a great ticket to have to fall back on. I'm keeping mine current always.

Just my advice! Good luck! :)

That was my line of thinking. Apply and continue on with CFI. If I don't get on, I still got the CFI and can instruct.

Hey Bubba,

Good luck to ya man. I am not against your decision in any way. Its just not the choice I would make.
To each his own.:) We all have our own reasons for doing things. I based my decision on my family and it's needs. I've thought about it and discussed it with my family, friends and other pilots for almost a month. I weighed the pros and cons. Yeah I have low time, but I'm used to structured training and preparations for such training from my Naval Aircrewman training to my training at DCA. Thanks for your support and good luck with your new job!:)
