767 Training

I haven't seen that one at all.

Here's a question for ya, do you guys turn on the hydraulic pumps 'counterclockwise' and off 'clockwise'?

Yes, it's because of a shuttle valve that can mess up your hydraulic quantities if you don't. Leest, that's what they say. We do it on the 757, too.

Flight 800 anyone?
We lost a KC-135 to that back in the 90s. The min on the 135's center wing tank is now 2000 lbs. If I wanted to know if someone was working there back then, I don't need to ask them. I can just judge the relative level of nervousness when we're transferring fuel out of the center wing tank and it's closing in on 2ks.

Corporate security gets a little pissy if I were to say "Hey! Lots of pilots with SIDA badges to steal right here!" :)

Not that you would, but I like to make it harder for those that are looking to do so.

Yeah, and yours truly once busted a no-notice check for burning the center wing down to 0 just after they instituted that rule.

ONE little explosion, and people get all pissy.....

Yeah they sure packed on the redundacies after that! Rechecked the pumps, put in a fully submerged min level, installed short-tempered QA Inspectors...

I gotcha. I was just wondering as I am also making a home on Virginia Avenue for a few months here.

I think the blog is really interesting..

And it gives me motivation to keep flying..!

Nice blog Doug..

The BBQ we had today was okay, nothing special.(The only place on Virginia Ave) Don't forget to swing by FSI sometime before your training is over...

Remember, Doug... Your blog is my gouge this summer. :) Keep the details coming, haha.

Get the old 2004 study bank, the oral prep slides from dal767.com (bottom right) and you'll be golden.

Don't even bother paying attention to the training DVD and the LOD is pretty much a joke! :)

I'll try! But between now and the end of the systems oral, I'm pretty slammed. I might try to run home for a night on thursday for a quick sanity break, but we'll have to see!
