Low Volts on G1000 preflight? 172&182

Ok, so in the 172's and 182's Pilot's Information Manual, during the preflight, it says to verify that the Low Volts annunciator is on. Is this correct? I have never seen it. I have seen the other annuciators at this point though.

Also in the 182T's PIM it says to ensure that the Alternate Static Air Valve is off and pulled full out. Huh?

Anyone have these issues at all?

I'm in the process of making my own checklists and just kinda came across these and am a bit confused if they are mistakes on Cessna's part or what?

Look over at the M and S bus indications in the left hand corner. You'll see they flash red and yellow as the electrical system draws current off the battery. That is your indication.

As for the static port, just ensure its off.

Yeah, true, those are always lit up... But where is the annunciator? I guess they are all like that and for some reason the annunciator doesn't light up.

the annunciatior is on the lower right of your pfd, below the horizon line, kitty corner to your hdg indicator, and, yes it should light up during your preflight check of the system
