Year 1: Delivered to Emirates and Singapore Airlines.
Year 1: Seats 555 in 3 class config. Virgin Atlantic introduces bar and duty free shops.

Year 2: 850 passengers in coach class reconfigured for 500 "American sized" coach seats.

Year 3: Boeing delivers the first B-888, a triple decker design with 888 seats in 3 class cofig.

Year 5: Bar, casino, and duty Free shops make up 80% of profits since 90% of all seats are priced under $100, coach class now features pay toilets.

Year 8: Both airplanes receive complaints of "not enough overhead baggage space" since people now carry on 6x4x3 luggage.

Year 13: Airbus 640 and Boeing 1200 pilots grumble about young A380 copilots with 500/50 in a race to the bottom...SCARY@!

Year 21: The last airline finally dissolves due to the widespread use of personal flying machines (depicted below), eliminating the hassle of airline travel.

At first I thought you were using prime numbers but then I saw you are adding the previous number to the current number to get the new one.

IOW:
Year 1
Year 1 (1+0)
Year 2 (1+1)
Year 3 (2+1)
Year 5 (3+2)
Year 8 (5+3)
Year 13 (8+5)
and so on....
:)

You win!!! As I was typing the years, I thought I would include a pattern and see if anyone recognized the fibonacci sequence. It occurs naturally in nautre, like the nautilus and pinapples.

God I hope I never have to ride in that double decker cattle car. Can you imagine how long it will take to deplane that #####er with every #####ing row digging for overhead bags? It's guaranteed to lose money at an even faster rate than before.

I thought the whole point of alot of the airport upgrades for millions of dollars was to install several jetways that can rub on the plane at the same time thus keeping the (de)boarding times down?

Are they just going to put one jetway on this thing or 3 or 4?

Not to play devil's advocate, but I for one think the A380 is the way airlines should be thinking. The global ATC system is approaching overload as the population, and flying population increase. It's simply safer and more efficient to have 1 A380 carrying 500 passengers than 2 767s carrying the same number. More passengers on fewer planes is progressive thinking, me thinks.

yes but people prefer to have many choices on flights. Say 2 flights a day with smaller equipment then 1 set time with a larger plane.

I believe they have it down to about 20 minutes with 500 pax, actually. The number of exits, the size, etc., more like a cruise ship than an airplane.
