First RJ in Skywest/Midwest livery!! (PIC)

I see they leased or bought some old Indy Air RJ's. Looks nice. Weird seeing an RJ in Midwest colors.

I can't help but think, "What's wrong with that 1900? Oh! it's a CRJ!"

Supposedly where we're not flying. But who know's...the Dojet is having a hard time keeping up with it's schedule. I can't see why midwest wouldn't use them on some of the Dojet's routes.

I believe they have got the DoJets in the livery. When did they get those CRJs?

I wish it was us that got CRJs. I should be us that got those CRJs but Skyway stuck with the old 328/428 program too long for Midwest's taste. They want CRJs NOW and we just can't get them crews and airplanes as fast as Skywest.

I take it your on the Dork then? Thats a bummer, the 328s are getting phased out quickly it seems and not too many companies want the on the line. Now, what about Skyways 1900s?

No actually I'm on the Beech and the Dojet is here to stay for now at least...

The Beech is being phased out supposedly by September. I don't know how Skyway is going to be able to make 12 Dorks keep up with the lines. There just aren't enough remaining 328s in the industry available for purchase and the Beech is currently filling in for 328 flights when they can't keep up with the schedule they have now. I don't know how many of the 20 or so remaining Beech lines are EAS, but there are some non-EAS Beech lines. When our EAS contract is up the jet will supposedly slowly take over the remaining lines as the Beech is retired. I don't think the jet can take all this workload. Personally, I have a feeling the jet will take the remaining short Beech routes and have to surrender some of our higher load factor lines to Skywest's CRJs.

Wow, didn't think it would be the other way around. Doesn't make sense to me how 12 can keep up with what the Beech is doing. I also thought there was more than 12, but the number doesn't surprise me. I believe they came from ACA...? That is a shame thought that Skywest possibly might be taking those routes.

Skyway was the launch customer for the Dornier. We got our first 8 from them, I think. The next two came from elsewhere and 11 and 12 were just procured from S Carolina. One or both might be old ACA jets, not sure. When the Delta deal fell through, those 30 ACA jets sat and rotted down there while everyone argued about who was going to cover the lease on them. Skyway balked at purchasing them outright and missed out big time. They're really hard to come by these days.

A former pilot at ACA on the Dork was telling me that "the last few of them" were sold off, I would assume it is those 30 aircraft. I have also heard that a few went to Skyway, must be that one or two. I definitely thought that Skyway had more Dojets than 12, I guess I thought they got a bunch from the ACA deal, but apparently not. You definitely wont find too many DoJets for sale anymore. would you know why they didn't purchase them outright?

That's a nice looking shiney jet. Can I fly it? Cool!! How much is the pay? Oh...... that's cool I'll still fly it.:sarcasm:

Yeah DL owned most of ACA's Dorkjets and sold them off to either Skyways or were lease returns.
