Mesaba Interview

Applied to both of them, haven't heard from either of them and a lot of my buddies fly for Pinnacle too, that way I could still get based in DTW and still fly into KCAK. However I would probably live in Toledo and commute. I don't think my fellow Buckeyes would forgive me if I had a Michigan license plate. And Expressjet in Cleveland too, either one would be good, although I heard CLE is a senior base, could be something to look forward to. I just can't make em call y'know? All I can do is keep updating my resume and sending it in again. I think they want to see glass cockpit time though and the only turbine time I have is King Air.

I heard they were paying $10,000 a year first year.

I'd head to Lakes before I went to Mesaba these days.

$22.81 first year
$27.35 year 2

Not sure how that compares to others but it seems to be in line with others and more than some.

per diem $1.55/hr

You're over qualified, trust me.

ExpressJet takes forever to call, and if you want a walk in at Pinnacle there are folks here that can make it happen for you.

You guys are good people, thanks for the advice. I am going to reconsider everything posted here and make a decision. And JTrain thanks for the lowdown on XJT and Pinnacle. Maybe the best things are simply worth waiting for, as the case seems to be here. As to me being over-qualified, I don't know about that. Apparently Colgan didn't think so and I would have loved to get with them. I interviewed, but Chuck said I 'wasn't ready yet, but had a great attitude and postive way of looking at things, especially flying for a living. Any airline would love to have you.' I was just kinda bummed when HIS airline didn't want to hire me, although I guess he never really came out and said those exact words, but they were still disappointing nonetheless.

Don't even think of going to ATP for that jet course.

Actually, I think the future at Mesaba looks pretty good talking to someone in an extracurricular activity.
