American Eagle desperately looking to hire you

Im at the stage where I need to decide to apply to regionals, or continue with my cfii. I have 400 TT, 100 ME, and 100 in glass. Should I build some more time before applying, or should I do it now. Ive heard stories as of late that AE has been going down to 300 TT and 100 ME. (im not to crazy about instructing, and if I could bypass it....... all the better)

It wouldn't hurt to apply.

You've got the multi-time met and that's 3/4 of the battle for most people. Send it in, keep building time and if they call great, if not keep updating with them.

Some people don't want to be instructors and there's a lot of people out here in the 121 world who have never been a CFI...don't let people BS you...

youre so nice... you remind me of a friend i once had!

I guess its the way you interpret the regs. I've always read that if a safety pilot is used the name needs to be listed. So on the few occasions I needed to be a safety pilot I put the name of the person of was the being the safety pilot for.
Then again if they aren't accepting safety pilot time and you include that in your PIC time why don't you just add a zero to the end of your total time and shoot for a major. Lying about your time is one of the lowest things you can do in this industry.

Going out of your way to log something that is not required, nor suggested, that would possible degrade your multi-PIC time is not the same as adding a zero and lying about your time, it is being smart.

If you are logging PIC as the safety pilot, which is perfectly legal and supported by FAA opinion, you are ultimately responsible for the safety of the flight, and are acting as a required crew member.

If they ask if you were a safety pilot during that time, let them know, and it will be up to them whether they accept it or not, and has nothing to do with lying, adding zeros to your logbook, padding your logbook, etc...

WOW!!

I never thought I'd say something like this, but - when I had 400 TT, I barely even had a CFI certificate ; I got my CFI-A at 413!!!!
