XJT housing while training?

Yeah I guess that's one benefit of having training in a small town - I don't think the company paid more than $20/night for our rooms.

ISometimes I wonder where airlines will draw the line.

Bro, I work for a Fortune 600 company with huge margins and an average annual sales increase of 20%. My company is the WORLD leader in Cardiology accessories and has over a 65% market share on stent deployment devices.

We have ZERO money issues and guess what? We share rooms at our national meetings. Thats right. All 130 reps are paired.

No biggie.

This was common practice at my old company, too, but all the reps raised major hell about it. The company ended up negotiating more favorable rates for the venues where we had the sales meetings.

I never minded but some of the guys went into hissyfits the likes I've never seen out of grownups. Weird.

If one isn't comfortable with a roomate, one could always pay for his own room. At UPS, you get your own room and per diem until you finish training. The you're on your own.

At Airnet they put you up in one of those Extended Stay type places. You have a roommate but each has a seperate bedroom with a door. It was really cool. Helped with studying and having someone share the firehose with you makes you have to drink less. Three of us that went to training together are still really good friends and talk at least 2-3 times a week.

one should make ones roommate uncomfortable so the roommate pays for his own room and one has the room to ones self for free:nana2:

:D

I wouldn't mind having a roommate as long as I didn't wake up with him standing over me, saying "it puts the lotion in the basket..."

Corp paid for single deluxe suites for us during indoc and ground at the Worst Western - HNL.

This is really good to know!

I knew that would get a laugh from somebody. I have an awesome Jame Gumm voice that creeps my girlfriend out and that I'm no longer allowed to do around her. She's actually threatened to kick me out of the car if I ever do it around here again...

Anybody have any horror stories about bad roommates while in training? I know a couple of guys that requested new ones after they found out that I have full conversations in my sleep and I sleepwalk.
