King Air

Todd Gjerke....training for chinese students to fly.

you know, its a damn shame when our own domestic industry is so FUBAR that kids are PFJ, and internationals can come here and get ab initio training in top end aircraft like King Air / Eclipse Jet / etc etc

cweawed to land wunway twee five wight!

C’mon man… we don’t need to be making fun of these guys/gals… They’re all coming over here mid 20’s already holding a college degree. Before this gets out of hand, show them some respect. (I realize that you’re trying to be funny, but who’s to say how they’d react to something like that)

Except what happens is the airline they are representing actually buys the 'top end' aircraft to do the training in. UND ends up just operating it...unless they get donated the aircraft at the end of the contract like China Airlines back in the 90's.

By the way, the Eclipse is paid for by donations and sales of other donated aircraft. UND didn't buy it to do contract training, in fact it doesn't currently meet the requirements to even use it for the training the contracts will receive. If it was a viable option, there's a good chance the King Air(s) would never be placed on the line. A second Eclipse may not even be for sure. The donation logistics need to be worked out, if even possible...

Speculation on an open forum....didn't that blow up on someone before?? Did you talk to the prospective instructor you mentioned to see if he wanted his name thrown out into the public arena associated with training and aircraft that he may or may not be associated with...not to mention misspelling his name...?

Anyone else the King Air out at the airport today?

My instructor wasn't sure if it is ours or not.
i am thinking flight support didn't have the heated hanger space so they rented it from UND, because i was at the airport on Sunday when that plane left and they left from GFKFS
