ATP or RAA Flight Schools

Are these 2 flight schools a good choice if I want to become a Commercial pilot? I am interested in the 5 month program ATP offers. Is this program worth going to?

Go look in the ATP forum. Lots of good info there.

RAA... well, personally I have no experience with them but having shared ramp space with them once upon a time... I'd go with ATP.

But look at the ATP Forum.

ATP has a far better reputation than RAA. I can say from personal experience that ATP is a very good flight school. ATP is less expensive, and offers much more multi-engine time.

Read what you can, but I think you'll find ATP is a surer bet and good bank for the buck.

Not sure where you are, but have you looked at local FBO's for the initial PPL, IFR?

Hey...but you can't get a CRJ type rating at ATP! ;)

Both ATP and RAA have operations at the airport I instruct at. Without going into to much detail I can attest that ATP has a much better reputation.

Did you guys see in one of the recent AOPA mags that ATP is getting those D-Jets?

I am betting you will see their whole fleet be diamonds soon. They actually had a photo of the D-jet in ATP colors and are apparently getting a small fleet of jets.

Looks pretty cool!

I just wonder how much the program will cost then.

Yep, saw the pic some time ago mentioned in this thread.
