Which regional?

tinman is an Amflight driver. There are more than a handful on the forum.

Just stating my opinion... besides, I'm sure there are a handful of PFJ and PFT (Gulfstream, DCA, etc.) candidates on here, but that doesn't stop many users from shouting out their opinions about those pilot factories.

I wasn't trying to imply that you should shut your mouth about Amflight, just saying there are a few Amflight guys around here to give an ACCURATE picture of what goes on at Amflight.

But since you wanted to touch on that one, Amflight IS NOT the regionals. Amflight gets paid better, treated better, still have benefits and a JS agreement and are logging turbine PIC time anywhere from date of hire to 6 months after date of hire. Amflight planes are some of the best maintained in the industry, the core of that MX program being a culture of safety and NOT one of pushing people to fly unairworthy aircraft.

All of which you wouldn't have a clue about since you don't work at Amflight. Maybe you've got a buddy or two at Amflight, maybe you don't; couldn't tell ya. But don't mistake Amflight with the regionals.

First beer is on me at the M&G, BTW.

Is that where we're going next month?? haha

I only compared both, AMF and Regional Airlines, because of the low starting pay. I agree with everything you said about AMF because yes, I do have a buddy over with them at BUR and I've talked with a couple of them at various airports.... but I was referring to accepting a low pay job...

Anyway, I think I should really stop with this thread... I'm starting to see what a pain I am today, hahaha... maybe I'll wake up on the right side of the bed tomorrow

The low pay sucks the industry over, that's for sure. But $24,000 a year to fly a Chieftain makes a heck of a lot more sense than $19,000 a year to fly something that carries 50 people, weighs 10 times as much and flies 350 knots faster. Who in their right mind would fly a 767 for $40,000 with no chance of making more than $45,000 a year? It seems just as crazy to me. But a Chieftain paying more than an RJ? That's even crazier.

Who's your buddy?

And BTW, JT, how's the revolution going in... Hollywood? Ha!

Yeah Kelvin told me about that when I went to watch the game with him for a bit tonight.

The revolution is going just fine! I'm working my way inside the gears right now so I can rip the system apart from the inside.

Word. Just don't venture too far west on the 118. Brother ain't got no business in San Fernando. :) :sarcasm:

Aren't you out in California? They better be paying well out there or the pilots would be living on the street lol.
