We don't have the Baron anymore...it was soldWhat is the Baron up there used for? Do you guys have a charter course with it or no?
is the Cheyenne still around? I have never seen that thing fly, just saw it sit in the hangar a lot.
Sold that too. Have to find a way to pay for the Eclipse Jet.
Ya'll serious about the eclipse jet?
you say it like theres only one. we have two dozen on order from what i hear. and i know for fact 2 being built already, according to the guy (some VP or something) from Eclipse that came and spoke with one of my classes.
eeeeep, who do they think is going to fly them? STRE, SIEW, PALM and REGO are about the only ones remotely qualified to fly them much less teach in them?
We have a former NWA pilot here teaching in helicopters. He is going to be the one teaching in it.
eeeeep, who do they think is going to fly them?
Any info on what course it will be used for, or is all that still a ways out in development?
full type certificate.

uh eclipsejet doesnt need a type cert to fly it

Prob not, its not like the aircraft they are training to fly. Maybe in the future though, we shall see.The saudis and chinese.
It sure does.???

sure about that (no sarcasm), any pure jet requires a type rating??
§ 61.31 Type rating requirements, additional training, and authorization requirements.
(a) Type ratings required. A person who acts as a pilot in command of any of the following aircraft must hold a type rating for that aircraft:
(1) Large aircraft (except lighter-than-air).
(2) Turbojet-powered airplanes.

woo, we are teh smart at UND![]()
come on now, i openly admitted my mistake. besides, with all the hype the guy from eclipse was spouting when he came to talk to our class, youd think that the plane pays YOU to fly it, and only takes a sport pilot cert.
oh and it also has a perpetual motion machine generating its energy to fly.
im a victim of hype! i swear! :insane:
