I *heart* hotels

Arrived at the layover hotel, got myself and the captain signed into our rooms.

Hopped on the elevator, went towards my room, opened the door... The hotel room literally had NO bed.

Strange.

Back downstairs, explained that the room had no bed and was issued another room.

Went back up the elevator, the door swings open before my key is even in the door.

Weird.

Walk in, shut the door, it hits the jamb and swings open again. The darned door won't close or even lock!

Back downstairs, get another room and it looks like the third's a charm.

And this isn't a rat hole crew hotel either.

I "had" to spend $80 one night to stay in a "Parlor Room."

"Parlor Room" is just a fancy way of saying "Hey @$$hole! YOU get to sleep on a pull-out couch!" The room literally had no bed just a couch, that magically like a robot in disguise pulled out to a rotten, nasty "bed".

The joys of commuting.

I feel your pain Doug. I have had that problem a couple of times over the past several years. The most memorable one is when the FA a couple of rooms down opened the door to her room and there was a couple doing the nasty in the room.

The hotel had a problem of double assigning rooms all the time.

I'd say you just have some magical powers that you have yet to learn how to harness.

It was darned near midnight when we got in (thank you freak SLC thundersnow storm) so I didn't feel like pulling off my wig and verbally assaulting the guy like "Big Momma".

But surprisingly, it wasn't that big of a deal to the hotel at all. Just a simple, "oh, here well, uhh, try this one."

I *think* it might have been an add-on 'hospitality' room to the ajoining room, which was the captain's.

Maybe he thought we were a couple or something... Eww!

Yeah, that didn't come out right, did it... Hold on a sec...

Ok, better.

oh common dough, it wasn't that freak, they've been predicting it for a couple of days! It was nasty out last night though - I tried to go into Salt Lake to see a friend, took me an hour to get from park city to Jeremy ranch and back. It was a total white out up here and I heard that the cottonwood canyons had a ton more! :nana2:

I'm going to have 135 mins in 9-12 months, hence the "w00t to bidding SLC in 9-12 months"

The conservative guess is 12 months

Might be a good freight runner's t-shirt: "Freight Pilots - Drunk by Noon!"

Are you a masochist??? Besides Marshall being there not sure what fun is to be had in the SLC. And yea been there, have several friends that live there.

Good luck and godspeed!

It's not a bad place at all. A lot of skiing, enough good bars to keep you occupied for a while. And for what it's worth, the Jazz are kicking ass this year.

In fact, maybe I'll take a one day ski trip up there tomorrow.

But "Three Two" tastes like Arm & Hammer dissolved in tap water. Eww!
