Car Emblem Avatars

This is where BWM syling peaked I'm afraid.

Aaaah the E39 M5. The last of the non-Bangle-ized (I put a link for people to learn about Chris Bangle) BMW's.

This was pushing it, but I still like it:

But NOTHING can EVER beat the design and performance value of an E30 M3:

I kinda like the E46 as well. But yes, E30 M3 for the win. I don't care how much it costs, I WILL have an aspen white one in my stable. There's two cars I lust for the most. That is the '69 camaro, and E30 M3. Quite the pair I know, but they're amazing cars.

Agree. BUT MErcedes is meant for more people. Middle class/upper middle class can easily drive off with a BRAND NEW ONE. of those that are not wait 6-7 years and you can get them used. also Karl Benz was the first to invent and invision the "horseless carrige" (car), his wife was rumored to have invented or suggest the concept of higher and lower gears. Funny thing is too his first patent the 'motorwagen' was often laughed by people by its design and inability to be controlled. 120 years later in the year 2003 it is the number 1 used word in rap songs, almost every african King has an S class, the star hooded ornament has been a guiding sign for EVERY driver. I can go on and on about this.... now can Aston martian, Ferarri or Lamborguini top that?!

Eh...I dont ever want a benz simply because of the "stuck up rich person" stigma that is often attatched to it...unless its an SLR, but that's a different story.

I don't like Mercedes-Benz' - no matter how much I tried to convince my mother and father from each buying one, they still did. Now they have two M-Classes, obviously made mostly in the USA with only a few parts coming from Germany. Why they both bought the same SUV's is beyond me.

Speaking of stuck up rich person stigma that some cars have, that Jaguar X-Type crew car at KSTP that all the aviation students rave about is, well, a FORD! But since it's badged as a Jaguar it must be some nice car, right? Wrong. It's a $29,000 "fake luxury car" based on the european Ford Mondeo platform. If one takes a quick look at the interior they will realize that most of the plastic interior buttons came directly out of a Ford Taurus. Yuck. I don't know why Jaguar decided to ruin their image with that car...it's quite a bit different from the rest of their nice line up. But they keep it quiet as much as possible... like they're gonna ever advertise that it's just a glorified Ford Mondeo :D

Holy crap I can't express how much the x-type sucks. I think I don't like it so much for the reason that the people that buy them have no clue they're just driving an entry level sedan from Ford. Then again, so are lexus drivers, but at least Toyota made it nice.

I don't think it's so much Jaguar ruining themselves as it is just Ford ruining Jaguar. Ford has done amazing things with Aston Martin however, so I don't know why Jaguar become the target for bastardization. :) Now, if they've updated the x-type to the new mondeo, I bet it's a good car, performance wise at least. But I bet it's still based on the chassis we have in america known as the focus.

i am fairly certain most people buying a lexus know they are buying toyota quality. in fact, im sure thats a selling point. proven quality with enhanced luxury.

I've driven many toyotas and hardly ever had a problem. the only problems resulted from neglect from my parents/brother and previous owners.

Ok I want to be a part of this.
<<<<< style and well ok not much more than that but you gotta give the family truckster some love.

haha water pump. that sucks!

I think most people know that they're getting a Toyota when buying a Lexus, which is all the more reasons why to buy one. Now, a Lexus ES compared to a well-equipped Camry...minimum difference in my opinion. I'd rather have the Camry if I were in the market for that kind of car. The IS350 is a pretty nice car too. My friend back home just bought one brand new and it is pretty torquey. Very quick and handles really well (RWD :D).

You still haven't gotten a ride in mine!

I'd like to... we'll see how fast you take the cloverleaf turns around town :D but don't do it like I did the other day... if you saw a nice set of 4 black lines that criss-cross at the end of the northbound Columbia to Demers exit...yeah... a reason why to not try to get the tail end out around smooth uneven concrete (another reason why I miss black tar pavement) when it's 14 degrees outside (cold rubber/cold cement is not a good combo for tire grip).

Angel was with me... it was fun :D ...complete 360 and burnt rubber smoke everywhere hahaha. It was pretty much uneventful, just a smoothly controlled 360.

Edit: Angel just reminded me that it was only a 290 hahaha... sorry I did not remember to bring my directional gyro with me.

Jason...tsk,tsk,tsk. You and your sideshows!!!

:D

Yeah his isn't good enough :sarcasm:

Actually the new Camry's are totally sweet. I'm so not a sedan type person but I'd cop me one of those ina hot minute.

They have a sport version of that I hear is pretty sweet!

As for the IS350. Toyota like Justin is bringing sexy back. In the form of the Supra, which will be built on the IS platform. I have seen pics. it is sweet. It's squarely aimed at the Nissan 350 and is supposed to be a couple grand cheaper!!!

I'm pretty sure we both wiped out at the same spot, so two of those marks very well could have been mine. :D I only got a 180 out of mine though. I don't even care that I messed up a little, I'm just glad to see my car actually has lift off over steer! haha
