Tune and Identity at the Airlines

ESF - That gave me quite a laugh because that's the same check I was taught on my first VFR cross country flight by my instructor. :)

Oh yes, when I had to do it in the sim (it's a Capt only thing), I gave the thrust levers to the F/O and made him be my autothrottle.

oh ok, what the most difficult scenario you dealed with in the sim?
 
Same here, Matt. If I don't see the ID, THEN I'll listen to the morse code. Also, if you go green needles while the LOC is still "boxed," most of the time the inbound course will be wrong.

Pretty much what he said, if the ID isn't displayed it must be ID'd.
 
ID'd the ILS for 23 into CLT (I think it was 23). Instead of IAPU we got EAPU. Listened in and it sounded right so we went ahead with the approach and didn't die. Go figure.
