Workout / Wellness Center

Do you guys know when it's mostly empty? I would assume it should always be empty around 10:30 right before they close so that's when I always go. However, I'd like to try working out in the daytime. I've never lifted in the daytime even at the Hyslop since it's always busy by guys warming up the benches and squat racks. From your experience, when is it a good time to go workout where you don't have to wait 3 hours for the equipment?

I'm trying to design my schedule and would prefer not having to go late at night.

That brings me to the other question. Anyone else looking to work out as well? I find it much easier to stay motivated if someone else is serious about lifting and stays strict to a weekly schedule. No skipping days or crap like that. I was VERY consistent this summer even w/ CFI and 405, but when I went on vacation and came back I stopped going. I'm looking to get back into it, serious this time, and some extra motivation could help.

Not me, I need to trick myself into working out by making it some sort of organized sport...specifically hockey.

There's something about ice hockey that doesn't appeal to me. Street hockey would be fun to try I think. We used to play foot (? haha, no skates) hockey in JHS and it'd be a looot of fun.

Hey you could lift with me...but it'd have to wait till next semester when I make the transfer. Somewhere I heard they just got a new fitness center, how is it? Good equipment?

i know a team in arlington, tx who needs a goalie REAL bad. just be careful. if you move to the FW/D metroplex there is a high likelihood of you putting on weight due to this being the fast food/chain restaurant capital of the universe.

I think it's the most quiet during the early morning hours, around 12:00 and then between 3 and 5p.m.

Neither of my friends that I workout with are all that serious. I don't think they understand that if you're not working out on a regular basis, there's no reason to even go at all. Let me know when you go. I'll join you if you want.

I try to get there at least twice a week. It seems mostly empty at around 2-230 or so, only a few people and the occasional Kupchella citing like last week. Pretty much anytime on Sundays when there is a football game are great times to go.

Sweet, yeah. I'm gonna go tomorrow evening, probably around 10:15PMish. You should come!

Thanks, yeah I'll give it a shot next week. I'm sure this weekend will be empty since it's a holiday weekend.

I just got back from there. A few of the guys on the floor and I do the "Abs and Back" workout on Wednesday's at 6PM. They do them at other times during the week, we just go then though. It's pretty intense, the instructor is from Austria and pretty demanding of us all. I find it difficult, but enjoyable at the same time. About 25 girls...4 guys...

Should be perfectly fine if he works a-la-deadlift. :buck:
not possible all the time, that would require them to shut down the sort every few seconds which just won't happen (it could if you only loaded 1 or 2 cars, but not 3 or 4)

 sorry, I'm confused...
everyone there loads anywhere from 3-5 package cars (i load 3, averaging about 900-1000 packages/day between the 3 cars) that is way too much workload to worry about proper lifting/lowering procedures. you just don't have the time, because by the time you get stuff put away, you run out (not supposed to run) and grab the next packages to be put away
