Amount of clothing: how much clothing did you bring to initial?
I brought as much as I could fit in a large checked bag. I think I brought around 3 pairs of dockers type nice dress pants (for class) as well as semi-nice polo shirts. Bring your suit because I believe they have you wear your suit to the first day of class to take a class photo, but you might wanna call about that.
Also bring a nice pair of shoes and some tennis shoes and jeans to relax in. If you're going to Wisconsin make sure you bring some heavy winter clothes too - it'll be cold up there!!!
- Checking bags while traveling in pos. space: if you don't make it, do your bags? I fly in the night before and feel like I'll be bring enough stuff to merit a checked bag...
I would bring enough to fill a large checked bag, but that's just me. Not only are you positive space, but I believe you are classified as a "must ride", and as such can't get bumped. The only way you won't get there is if the flight cancels, and they'll understand

. There was a guy in my class that had that happen to him and he just got there on the first day of class.
They want me to bring a flight case with no wheels...
You probably won't need a flight case day 1. Bring a backpack or something (I acutally bought a cheapo carry-on with wheels before I left, much easier to roll my books around then carry them on my back). Don't rush into any sort of puchase for your flight case.
any reason for the lack of wheels? Just curious. If I carry on everything, I'm going to have to figure out how to manage that case, my laptop bag (I wouldn't consider this bag a "personal item," and clothing. Does that sound plausible?
People were probably buying those catalog cases at Office max that come with wheels and they won't fit in the RJ cockpit. That's probably just an FYI.
I'm not sure what's around the hotel where you're staying, but they like to put people at places that have a grocery store nearby. You can buy pretty much anything you might need, such as detergent and dryer sheets to do your laundry. My class put together a "care package" for the next class made up of all our left over stuff - I personally put in detergent, dryer sheets, dry food, etc. You might find one of those care packs there.
