500RPM loss at 500' AGL on upwind leg. Heavy vibration. Took the controls from the student, made the turn, landed opposite direction with a 17 knot tailwind. This four days after my 121 offer. Fun FUN!!!!!!!!
I should add that the engine eventually seized, so I guess I made the correct decision to try and not make a trip around the pattern at 500' (as you know, Cessnas don't climb at 1750RPM
