Think you're going to 9E?

Good for you....but then why the dislike for PT. Did u used to work here?

I think he's just a person that sympathizes with our plight.

:yeahthat:

I think what sickens me most is PT's "want" to get scope back from the pilots, so he can start a side operation, like Go Jets or like Freedom A. He would use non-union, lower paid pilots, and then all he!! would break lose.

But, hopefully, pilots will win this one, and get a good contract. It doesn't have to be quote unquote "industry leading," but at least enough to recognize the pilots and the hard work they've done to make PNCL what it is today.

I would love to work at PNCL in the future.

As a Univ. of Michigan grad myself, I would love to return to near the Ann Arbor area. After all, I did spend 4 years there, and have many friends spread through the Ann Arbor / Novi / Dearborn areas. All of these cities are within a 20-45 minute drive to the DTW airport. So, I would love to be a DTW based PNCL pilot :)

thanks for your support......I surely appreciate it. What are you doing now? working on your ratings? working for anotehr airline? instructing?

who knows when the contract will be done, but i have faith in my fellow colleagues that we wont sign in a contract thats anything less than what we deserve......whenever you're ready to apply to 9E, shoot me a PM. I'll do what i can. and i am sure kellwolf and others would be willing to help as well. good luck...

Hey,

Sure, no problem, I will always support ya guys 100%.

As for me, I'm 22 years old, currently an engineer for a defense contractor in DC. And yes, I'm working on my ratings, currently the instrument.

I've got a major "make-or-break" situation coming up with a FSDO examiner.

It will be a medical exam flight, which I *MUST* complete successfully. If I do, then I get a SODA (Statement of Demonstrated Ability) for my eye imbalance condition.

The problem itself is no big deal... I can drive and fly just fine.

So I got a normal 1st class medical in July, but it has a restriction that says "Valid for Student Pilot Purposes Only"

That means I cannot act as PIC. To get this restriction removed, I need to take the medical flight test.

So, I need to go up in a trusty C172 and show the FSDO examiner that I can fly safely.

Once I do that, if I pass successfully, I get a new medical that does NOT have that restriction on it, and I get a SODA... the statement of demonstrated abililty.

It's on for October 18, weather backup for October 19. Fingers are crossed, and I'm praying !!!

Thanks for offering to help out.

My only concern so far would be, does PNCL accept pilots with a SODA? I know there are many pilots that have a SODA for color blindness, and they get hired at regionals and majors alike.

I don't have colorblindness, it's more like an eye muscle imbalance, but I can get a SODA for it, and hold a normal 1st class medical.

So what do you think?

Do you know if PNCL has hired folks with a SODA ?

Thanks!

we hire from GIA, and supposedly JetU....dont we? haha....I have no idea about the SODA. I can shoot out an email to HR and see what they say.

good luck on ur fed ride. keep us updated

Thanks very much! Look forward to the response you get from HR.

Again, I think it shouldn't be a problem. I know one ex-PNCL guy who is now at JetBlue, and he said Jetblue takes SODAs, but wasn't sure about PNCL. He said he thinks PNCL takes them too.

Will let you know how fed ride goes.
