Two Stripes

I actually saw someone in a domestic airport with 2 stripes this week, and no i wasnt looking in the mirror...Does anyone know what airline this could have been...looked like a pilot too not an FA... SWEEET!

I've seen a ton of FAs wear stripes. Kinda dumb IMO.

USAir F/As have 2 stripes, as did TWA.

My guess would be that it was a F/A. I can't think of any operators out there right now that would have PFEs anymore.

Comair's Male FAs wear 2 stripes, but they are red. Everything else could be pilot garb.

Pinnacle's wear 2 gold ones but their shirts are blue.

Not sure who would would be that close to a pilot uniform.

Or it could be one of your partners in crime at where ever you are.

BA Jr. FOs have 2 stripes, but sure how they got over here as I do not think you can fly long haul until you are a Sr. FO.

Northwest has some DC-10s still flying around still with plans to have them phased out by Jan. '07 supposedly. I know Memphis to Ammsterdam is still on a 10. They have FEs although I would guess anyone in that seat was displaced from FO post 911. Numerous cargo operators have FEs as well. Perhaps someone was jumpseating.

I believe the SO's wear 2.5 stripes or simply 3 stripes...even at Kalitta and such (carried a few of them in my jumpseat).

P.S. Don't give the bean counter ideas. I'm pretty sure the FAR's say you need an actual person in back. (as I think about those people who put models in their seats to drive in the car pool lanes...)
