I saw something in the link today that I thought was worthy of sharing.

Today they are doing some work on the floor by the east doors to the link. The BST was kneeling on the floor, putting some sort of glue or whatever on the floor to glue that carpet down. There were all sorts of things blocking the door like the newspaper machines, bin for all the Dakota Students, and a sign that says not to use the door.

So what does this dude do? Steps over the barrier, and when the BST looks up and says "what are you doing?" the guy looks shocked that he can't use this door.

I think its time to make it harder to get accepted to UND

Uhh, what state would that be? Florida's is a big red X with white background and a seal in the middle, tough guy.....

And if that was just same lame joke about the hurricanes, I guess your flag would be a snow shovel....Or maybe Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. (equally as lame)

Yes, ND's flag should depict a nasty smelling rotten fish, knitting needle, snow shovel, and severely intoxicated driver driving his F-350 on the way from Charlie Brown's to The Bunn to drink some more crap generic plastic-bottled whiskey.

see, but on the outside there wasn't several pieces of large furniture blocking your way was there?

There was not. There was caution tape on one of the doors, so I figured it was alright to use the other one. Which I think was fine. I didn't get a dirty look from the guy that was working there, so I dunno. Ony half, the half I didn't go through, was blocked at 12ish.

I would not be surprised at all if someone went way out of the way to go out that door even while completely blocked off. Which is scary because that means that they aren't paying attention to their surroundings. Which probably means they do the same thing when they drive and fly. Yikes!

exactly what I was thinking. Or they just didn't care, which is even worse I think.

I actually saw a woman almost get owned by some kid in a beater Pontiac yesterday on University. He was too busy with his music and keeping a "cool" status by driving erratically and in the process nearly took her out. She had to run out of the way.

Later that night in Meteorology the same dumbass sat next to me and says: "DUDE! I almost clowned some lady today! HAHAHA." What a moron.

Oh, and for the record I almost got owned by some kid in a Honda Civic infront of Bek Hall yesterday afternoon. Damn out of state drivers.... :)

or heres an idea, dont walk infront of big moving metal objects. damn non-texans with no common sense!

I think its funny about pedestrians on campus, the only place they have the right away is at those dashed cross walks. Everywhere else if you hit them it's their damn fault. It should be at least. That's the way the rest of the world operates.

When I walk I usually at least walk down the street until there's a gap. It's not like you're saving anything buy jutting out in the middle of now where, unless you wait until the last minute, and that's just dumb anyway.

The thing that irks me the most is people that ride bikes on those designated bike lanes going against traffic. There's bike lanes on both sides of the street for a reason!!!!:mad::mad: I've almost hit 2 people in the 3 years I've been here while trying to turn right onto a street and some idiot is coming the other way on my side of the street on I bike. It's one thing if you understand cars have the right away in this situation and you wait for them to go or at least see you. To just casually cut right in front of the car is just asking for it.

[/end rant on people that don't notice their surroundings]

yeah, I always wait on the side of the road till people stop, even if it takes a while, then I'm sure to make eye contact and usually a little wave to say thanks, and I only ever cross at crosswalks. Campus isn't that big, by jumping out in front of cars you piss people off and you'd only really gain about 30 seconds on wherever you might be going.

Oh gawd, don't get me started about the stupid ND bikers who seem to think that they can ride against traffic. I can care less about them, but what I care most about is my car! Don't want it damaged by some stupid ND biker :argue:

Another thing I hate is when drivers are too nice and stop for you when you are approaching the road from 1,328 miles away. They stop and wait for you to get to the road, then the pedestrian crosses the road, then the car moves again. What they could've done was just continued on at their 30MPH without stopping because by the continually-walking pedestrian crosses the path that the car went, the car would've been 342 miles down the road way beyond the pedestrian's harm in the first place!

THATS HAPPENED TO ME 98374837 TIMES!!!

i am making eye contact with the driver, slowing my pace so i can walk behind them as they continue on their way, and they ####ing STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD when i havent even stepped into the pavement yet.

WTF

YOU ARE THE PEOPLE WHO SLOW TRAFFIC DOWN ON UNIVERSITY!!!

cars = right of way

cars = WILL ####ING HURT YOU

do people from north dakota not learn this at a young age???

Or when you have to wait for two or three or more groups of people to cross the street because the moron in front of you doesn't know how wide their car is and that they can actually go in between the groups of people and continue on their way. It's exactly like what I've stated above. People are oblivious to what's actually going on around them. It's exactly like this one time someone got pissed at me for doing a burn out(no not in the olds :)), but they yelled at me for speeding. Open your F#$KING eyes and look to see how fast I'm actually going. Which was 15mph at best, if that. I think all these people are completely incapable of noticing rates of change or something. If they yelled at me for doing a burn out, fine. That's understandable, I probably would too. :)

Or when I'm drifting around in the snow on a completely open road or parking lot aside from a car 2 miles behind me and having them come up and try to lecture me are damn near get in a fight with me because they think I'm driving to fast or driving irratic. It's only irractic to the morons that don't know what I'm doing and suck at driving so much that they couldn't possibly do it themselves. Therefore, I can't possibly be skilled enough to do what I'm doing.:mad::mad: When I used to drive an S10 I would always get up next to said irrational thinking dick and pull a powerslide 180 around the front of their car. Oh man does that get them pissed. :D
