Any Master CFI's here

ALso, does anyone know the number of CFI's to MCFI's? I know it takes alot to get to the MCFI, but not sure of the ratio.

OK, I will just ask here since I guess we dont have a MCFI watching this thread atleast. My brother just got his MCFI, and I am know that it is something very major, and now trying to determine what I should get him as a gift for this achievement. He has done that with me for my achievements and I want to return the graditute.

Ideas?

What types of gifts has he given you? I'd try to do something similar, at least as far as cost is concerned.

If you're talking about less than $100, you could just take him out to dinner or something. For me, spending time with my brother is more meaningful than most gifts.

If you're talking about spending a few hundred, I'd say try to find some sort of unusual aircraft in his area and buy him some time in it--gliders, vintage aircraft, warbirds, aerobatic trainers, etc.

handheld gps, transceiver? Any toys that marvgolden.com or sportys has that might appeal to him? Could get him a personal ELT unit with a friendly jab thrown in.

I kind of like the ELT idea. Years ago when he was a missle commander in the AF I sent him a radiation detector from Radio Shack. It was a BIG hit on base, and in the capsule.
