One of my favorite spots in ANC a couple of days ago. Weather was absolutely fantastic..

Same! I’m jealous of yall that get to spend time there. If I want to get up to ANCt with my shop it requires a redeye in a Max to the east coast.

This is one of the better ANC rotations in the bid package. Have to iron-man ATL-ANC (7:31 block the other day) as a two man crew, but at least it’s a 767-300 and it’s an afternoon departure. Red eye on this one is to DTW, so not as bad.

I’ve done the ANC-ATL redeye exactly once, and hopefully never again (unless they decide to augment it).

I feel like anchorage summertime redeyes only sort of count as redeyes, since at cruise it never really gets dark. At least, that was how I always coped with 2 weeks of flying all night every night doing medevac up there.

Bro I was in FAI a couple months ago and I saw yalls FAI-IAD flight getting ready to go and I was like yeah…no
That’s funny! Scheduling called me a few weeks ago on my days off and asked if I be willing to work a double DH to and from ORD, I told them to go on.
When they said it would involve the red eye from FAI I dropped my best Randy Jackson impression. Scheduler actually laughed 😂

Just found a new breakfast option I enjoy at my favorite coffee shop, Midnight Sun Cafe. Their avocado toast(now I can't afford a house), with an egg.
