Blues Pilot Preemptively Seeks Hegseth Blessing

I mean is love someone who loves airplanes, this is the first time i've completely agreed with my least favorite Minnesotan. This wasn't some crazy daring stunt, just a turn. Not like they did a dangerous pass right over the crowd where a collision threat was there. I would havw zero problem being on that beach with my 2 year old daughter. Everytime I hear a sortie of F15s come over low down in Fresno (she lives by the departure end of the 29s), I try to get her excited about the jet noise and the passing jets and she never gets scared. I guess she has bigger balls than half the internet LOL.

We are pro jet noise and low passes in this family. My grandpa fought on Guam and Guadalcanal so that we could have these freedoms.

This hubbub has nothing to do with safety or how awesome that flyover was and everything to do with ignorant folks thinking they've found an avenue to attack. The title of this thread is nonsense but it hasn't been edited. These are your chosen peers.

I dont disagree with any of this. I just wish the military was kept out of politics. It has been politicized in a big way in the last few years, and none of us appreciate that.

Well, unfortunately, the political system, and even corporate America, loves to cosplay and virtue signal at its expense.

Why should we listen to a Delta widebody captain who never served in the military about military stuff?

Same reason we don’t want to listen to a twice-divorced depressed mechanic living in a doublewide in Texas about life choices, marital advice or career guidance.

I hope you feel ‘alive’ after begging for me to internet-slap you all morning. The whole weird forum-BDSM thing is a responsibility I am unable to take on with you with any sort of consistency so you’ll have to find more healthy methods of spiking your dopamine.

Are you sure you want to open that door, “I’ve never flown a jet, but worked on such and such business jets….”

The title is problematic because it’s Inaccurate.

However, you can’t really be taken seriously if you don’t see a safety issue. Safety is very objective. To deal with this, professionals create objective standards. It’s likely that an objective standard was broken and should be addressed.

Given the nature of the event, most military folks think it should have been handled at the unit level without public statements by political appointees or elected office-holders.

And because this event was extraordinary it was handled in the unit without outside influence. The parameters these folks fly these jets into are very narrow and eventually someone is going to be a little off, when they step out it's not just a call to Hegseth for a pardon. In the end it was handled at the unit level despite all of the media attention. I hope you understand I'm not advocating for reckless demonstration teams and I think this was an honest mistake but the overwhelming negative response from folks who have no idea what they're talking about irks me.

Adding "gimp" to his list of titles.

do you irk yourself regularly then?

If that pilot got fired for not adhering to the company policy laid out in the contract it's that persons fault. This idea that firing people for screwing up is unfair isn't profitable and is laughable. Maybe the union will help them keep their job but why? Who is going to trust that person in the future? Not to mention the fact that it damaged the airlines reputation when the national news is reporting that a United jet hit a bread truck while landing. Someone is going to get fired and it probably isn't anyone in the training department.

Adding "normal dude" to his list of titles.
This is just more of your nonsense. Your paper thin bravado would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. Edits are easy, I'm going to adjust some of your posts and quote them. I'm sure you'll blush and complain. Life's hard and it's up to you, if you think the government is going to make your life better I suggest you take a look at areas where government subsidized housing is happening, they're known as projects and if you are a social justice warrior I think you should partake in the subsidies the government is able to provide. But you won't because you know you're not going to qualify for free housing and the absolute last place you'd want to end up is in a project.

The Blue Angels are a military flight demonstration team flying fighters, not airliners full of passengers. Can you discern the difference?

Is that your dad? I'm glad you're joining the club of folks who think I'm a dementia riddled geriatric with a penchant for drinking alcohol. I'm not what you think I am, but I do enjoy your fantasies, the fact that I occupy even a shred of your angst gives me the warm fuzzies.
Listen it's just a good day when you don't post about your dad's dick so I guess we gotta take our wins where we can get them. Enjoy your garage sodas. Tomorrow will be a new day.

My dad is dead. The 31st would have been his 80th birthday. His junk is legendary. You're talking about it right?
